Exploring Florida Atlantic University: A Comprehensive Overview
Florida Atlantic University (FAU) spans 110 miles of Southeast Florida's coast, fostering a vibrant culture that encourages ingenuity and independence. Boca Raton Campus: The Heart of FAU
The Boca Raton campus is FAU's first and largest. The majority of the University's 170+ degree programs are based here.
Locating the Graduate College
The Graduate College offices are located on the main Boca Raton campus, on the first floor of the Student Support Services building in Suite 101.
Directions and Parking
To reach the Graduate College, turn north (left) at the traffic light at the intersection of Glades Road and W University Drive/NW 10th Avenue. As you proceed into the campus, an information booth will be immediately on your right. Continue north on W University Drive and turn into the first parking lot on the right. Metered parking is located on the south end of this parking lot. Additional metered parking is available in the visitor parking lot just south of the Student Support Services Building (SU-80).
John D. MacArthur Campus: A Hub for Research and Education
The John D. MacArthur Campus presently enrolls 1,500 students and offers groundbreaking programs in research and education. Two of the world’s leading research organizations, the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and The Scripps Research Institute, are located on the campus. They offer high school, undergraduate and graduate students transformational experiences. The campus is home to the nationally-ranked Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College.

FAU Davie: Expanding Access to Education
More than 5,000 students take classes at FAU's second-largest campus, FAU Davie, conveniently located in central Broward County with Broward College as part of the South Florida Education Center. FAU Davie offers coursework in 30 degree programs. The campus features more than 300,000 square feet of labs, classrooms, offices and a jointly administered library.
Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (HBOI): Exploring the Oceans
FAU's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (HBOI) is dedicated to exploring the world's oceans and integrating the science and technology of the sea with the needs of humankind.
Fort Lauderdale Campus: Architecture, Design, and Film
The Fort Lauderdale campus is strategically located at the Florida Atlantic Broward College Higher Education Complex (HEC) on Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The downtown campus is home to the School of Architecture; Graphic Design; and Film, Video and New Media.
SeaTech: Ocean Engineering Research and Technology
This waterfront Dania Beach facility (SeaTech) houses the Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering and complements the academic programs of the Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering. SeaTech is situated near the Dania Beach pier to take advantage of its close proximity to the Atlantic Gulf Stream current. It is home to industry-sponsored ocean engineering research and technology development in the areas of acoustics, marine vehicles, hydrodynamics and physical oceanography, marine materials and nano-composites.

Supporting First-Generation Students
Kayla Harris, like many Florida Atlantic University students, is the first in her family to attend a four-year university. Kayla credits her grandmother with giving her the support and encouragement to pursue her interest in marine biology. With the help of the Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars program, Kayla graduated from Florida Atlantic with a B.A. in Health Science. Harris now works as an environmental monitor, focusing on sea turtles.
