Accessing Digital Resources
Adelphi University Libraries provide access to a vast collection of online resources, including databases, electronic collections, and digital subscriptions.
Databases and Electronic Collections
A comprehensive list of library databases and electronic collections is available in A-Z order or sortable by subject. Patrons can browse all available databases listed alphabetically by title. A brief description of each database is available by hovering over the information icon to the immediate right of the database title. Supplemental icons regarding the type of information that can be found within individual databases are listed to the right of the information icon. Patrons can search for databases dedicated to a particular area of study by using the drop-down menus located on the A-Z Databases & More page.

Borrowing Physical Materials
Loan Policies for Alumni
Alumni must present a valid AU Alumni ID card when borrowing physical material from the libraries. Please consult the alumni loan policies to determine which physical items are loanable to alumni and for how long.
Returning Materials
Physical material may be returned to the library at the Service Point at Swirbul Library, the book drop outside of the main entrance to Swirbul Library, or any other User Services desk in the Manhattan or Hauppauge Libraries.
Condition of Borrowed Materials
Library staff ensures that materials are in good condition before being checked out to patrons. In most instances, the Libraries can repair books so that they may continue to be circulated. In the event that material is returned in such poor condition that it can no longer be circulated, the borrower is responsible for replacing the material. The charge to the patron is the cost of the item plus a fifteen-dollar ($15.00) processing fee. Lost library materials must be reported to the Libraries immediately.
Additional Resources and Services
Collaboration Studios
Collaboration Studios, located on the first floor of Swirbul Library, are designed for group study and should be reserved ahead of time.
