New Majors

SUNY Adirondack has announced three new majors:

  • Environmental Science (Associate of Science (AS) transfer degree program): This program examines environmental issues, sustainability, and the effects of climate change on the environment. It is designed for seamless transfer to bachelor's degree programs in Environmental Science at SUNY colleges and universities, and most credits are transferable to programs in biology, chemistry, or environmental science.
  • Cybersecurity and Networking (Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree): This program emphasizes the importance of networking as a core component of cybersecurity, providing students with a strong base in hardware, cabling, network infrastructure, and security fundamentals.
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences: Health Sciences (Associate in Science (AS) transfer degree program): This program supports students entering a range of health careers or pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Students study anatomy and physiology, microbiology, nutrition, and statistics, as well as SUNY General Education requirements. This degree, which is available at SUNY Adirondack Saratoga, also prepares students for successful application to various competitive-admissions health care-specialized programs.

SUNY Reconnect

All three new degree programs are eligible for SUNY Reconnect, which offers free tuition and academic and career planning services to New York state residents ages 25 to 55 without a college degree.
