CO-OP Position in Saudi Arabia Technology Center
One example of an internship opportunity is a CO-OP position at the Air Products’ Saudi Arabia Technology Center (SATC) in Dharan Techno-Valley. The SATC has 3 world class state of art laboratories (namely, Hydrogen Lab, Gas separation Lab and material Lab) supporting the development of novel hydrogen production processes. The team in Hydrogen lab work within the Air Products global technology organization to support various technology development initiatives.

Responsibilities of the CO-OP
The CO-OP will work closely with the team in Hydrogen Lab to support the operation of a hydrogen production pilot plant, assist in data collection and analysis. Specific duties may include:
- Understanding hydrogen production in general and SMR specifically.
- Using Excel and python to analyze huge set of data.
- Maintaining accurate and well-documented records of experiment conditions and results
- Matching data from different sources.
- Collaborating with team members to support in data interpretation.
Requirements for the CO-OP
Candidates for the CO-OP position are expected to be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, be highly dedicated, and have a strong passion for chemical processes. Essential skills and knowledge include:
- The fundamental knowledge of chemical reaction kinetics, heat transfer and fluid flow is essential.
- Intermediate skills in Excel
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
- MATLAB or PYTHON skills will be a plus
- Basic skills in chemical process simulators such as HYSYS and ASPEN plus will be a plus
