American Red Cross Scholarships: Opportunities for Volunteers and Students
The American Red Cross offers various scholarships and awards to recognize the contributions of its volunteers and support students pursuing higher education. These opportunities range from recognition awards to tuition assistance programs, reflecting the Red Cross's commitment to fostering leadership, academic excellence, and community service.
Navin Narayan College Scholarship
The Navin Narayan College Scholarship honors the legacy of Navin Narayan, a dedicated American Red Cross volunteer who served in numerous capacities, including National Youth Council Chair. A Rhodes Scholar and Harvard graduate, Navin exemplified academic achievement, compassion, and innovation. Tragically, he passed away at the young age of 23 due to cancer.
Since 2001, the National Youth Council has perpetuated Navin Narayan's commitment to volunteerism and academic excellence by awarding the Navin Narayan College Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship is granted to two high school seniors who embody Navin's principles.
