Campus Recreation and Fitness

Campus Recreation and Fitness offers students an opportunity to participate in a variety of personal fitness and competitive athletic activities throughout the school year. Campus Recreation and Fitness promotes character, physical fitness, and team building. All AU students, faculty, and staff may participate in intramural events. Campus Recreation and Fitness offers 24 different sport leagues and events ranging from Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Ed leagues. From Sand Volleyball to Flag Football or Basketball to Softball and everything in between, Campus Recreation and Fitness can offer the sport to meet your recreational needs. Campus Recreation and Fitness offer fitness classes such as Bootcamp Fitness, Pilates, Primary Barre, and Yoga. The Center for Career Development offers a wide range of events and resources to help students explore their career aspirations, purpose, and calling. Through strategic collaboration across the university, the Center supports students in every stage of their professional development journey.

AU PRO: Professional Readiness Opportunities Beyond the Classroom is a signature program developed by Anderson University to prepare students for success in the workplace. The program features a variety of co-curricular opportunities focused on key areas of professionalism, such as written and oral communication and developing a strong professional presence. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in AU PRO Discipline-Specific Events.

Curriculum Enhancement Program (CEP)

The purpose of the Curriculum Enhancement Program (CEP) is to enrich the student’s academic experience by providing co-curricular opportunities that reinforce the educational and personal development of students within the framework of the 18 Common Learning Outcomes (CLOs) as outlined in the AU Gold Core Curriculum. Students will participate in required CEPs designed to assist with the transition into the AU community, promote professional readiness, and foster financial literacy. Successful completion of the Curriculum Enhancement Program is required in order to graduate from Anderson University.

Office of Commuter Engagement

The Office of Commuter Engagement seeks to create opportunities for commuter students to build relationships, connect with others, and feel part of the Anderson University Community. The mission of Commuter Engagement is to aid commuter students in their connection to the AU community through educational programming, social events, and referrals to campus resources.

David Larson McPhillips Center for Student Success

The David Larson McPhillips Center for Student Success makes academic support services available to all students. Students may receive one-on-one assistance with academic issues such as time management, mild test anxiety, and study skills. Student success seminars are offered periodically for any student desiring to improve his or her academic skills.

  • Accessibility Services provides services and support for students in all programs and levels with qualified disabilities in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • The Tutoring Lab is staffed by peer tutors and is available to all undergraduate students on the main AU campus. Our tutors assist students in Core Curriculum and many beginning major courses.
  • The Writing and Multimedia Center assists students at all skill levels with any college writing tasks, with an emphasis on building skills and confidence in academic writing.

New Student Programs

The purpose of the New Student Programs is to help students make a successful transition into the University community. The New Student Experience encompasses Base Camp Orientation, Welcome Week, three required CEPs for new students, the required freshman course AU101, and includes other social programming options.

Counseling Services

Our counselors challenge students to reach their full potential by helping them become self aware, build healthy coping skills, and make changes that lead to a more satisfying lifestyle and greater success at Anderson University. Individual and group counseling is a free service offered to all full-time traditional students.

Anderson Central

Many student services are offered in one central location in Anderson Central. Services offered include transcript requests, name/address changes, check cashing, tuition payments, verification of enrollment for insurance, financial aid inquiries and more.

Campus Food Services

Campus Food Services are provided by AVI in six campus locations: the AU Culinary Center, Chick-Fil-A, and Chronicles Cafe, all in the G. Ross Anderson, Jr. Student Center. Books and Beans is located in the basement of Thrift Library. At the Athletic Campus there is Troy’s and next door to the Rainey Fine Arts is PWhitty’s.

Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

The primary purpose of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is to provide financial aid information and resources to those students who, without such assistance, would be unable to attend Anderson University.

Center for Global Engagement

The Center for Global Engagement within a university plays a vital role in fostering international education and global awareness by supporting both students and faculty. It provides study abroad advising to help students explore international academic opportunities, navigate program options, and secure funding. The center also offers national scholarship advising, guiding students through competitive applications for prestigious global awards. Through events and workshops on culture, it promotes cross-cultural understanding and engagement on campus. Additionally, it assists international undergraduate students with advising and immigration compliance, ensuring they meet visa requirements and successfully integrate into university life. Clemson University's Experience with Workday

Other universities have successfully implemented Workday to modernize their administrative processes. Clemson University, for example, selected Workday to innovate, optimize, and scale its core HR and Finance processes. Clemson University selected Deloitte Consulting, LLP, as the firm to help integrate the new system. Clemson has completed the Plan Stage - a phase of the project which focused primarily on developing a new blueprint encompassing what the University commonly refers to as its chart of accounts. Within the Clemson landscape, hundreds of Program Team members and campus user group representatives participated in the important work in the Plan Stage.
