Arizona College (formerly Arizona College of Allied Health) has been a fixture in the Phoenix area for over two decades, providing students with structured and disciplined education to help them excel in their chosen healthcare careers. Campuses and Locations

Arizona College has two campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area:

Phoenix Campus: Conveniently located on 43rd Ave, and Olive/Dunlap.
Mesa Campus: Opened in January 2013, located on Dobson and Main, a short walk from the Sycamore Light Rail and bus stations, and just north of the Park-n-Ride. To reach the Mesa Campus, get in one of the two right-most lanes and take Exit 147 A to continue east on the Arizona 202 Loop, keeping right to follow the signs for 202 East. Turn right to travel south on North Dobson Road.
Glendale Campus: Located about 9 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix, Glendale and bordered to the northwest by Peoria, El Mirage, and Surprise. Just off I-17, Arizona College - Glendale is easy to find, and easy to get to, from nearly anywhere in the Phoenix metro area.

Allied Health Programs Offered

Arizona College offers a variety of programs in allied health, designed to prepare students for specific roles within the medical field. These programs include diploma programs and associate degrees, with flexible start dates and convenient morning and evening classes available. New students will receive an iPad and Bluetooth keyboard included in their tuition, to use throughout school and keep upon graduation (excluding Massage Therapy).

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

In May 2013, Arizona College was approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The three-year BSN program at AZCN is structured to guide students from foundational concepts to advanced clinical nursing skills, ensuring they are fully prepared to pursue a career as a registered nurse.

Medical Assistant Program with Phlebotomy

This 31-week hybrid program includes both online and in-person classes. The medical assistant program is divided into 3 academic quarters. After the on-campus portion of the program, each student completes an off-campus 6-week clinical externship.

Medical assistants provide administrative and clinical support to doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals. They facilitate communication between the patient care team and other healthcare entities, including pharmacies, referring physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities. They act as liaisons between physicians and their patients, and assist with relaying information about things like laboratory test results or prescribed treatment plans.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

This program is available as a 30-week undergraduate diploma program offered at the Glendale & Mesa Campuses, and as a 30-week associate of applied science degree program offered 100% online through the Glendale campus.

Medical billers and coders (also referred to as health information specialists, medical billing and coding specialists, or medical information specialists) work to ensure the quality and accuracy of medical records and billing accounts. Medical biller and coder duties may also include providing administrative support within their work environment.

Pharmacy Technician

This is a 30-week undergraduate diploma program offered at the Glendale & Mesa Campuses.

Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. They work as part of a team filling prescriptions by preparing and dispensing pharmaceutical drugs to customers or other healthcare professionals. If working in a retail setting, they also provide customer service directly to those who visit the pharmacy.

Dental Assistant

Arizona College’s dental assistant program takes a total of four quarters (38 weeks) to complete. Arizona Dental Assistants enjoy a balance of connecting with people through patient care, taking x-rays, maintaining patient records, and scheduling appointments.

Dental assistants work alongside dentists and dental hygienists to provide patient care during procedures and examinations. Their chairside tasks include handing instruments to the dentist and keeping patient’s mouths clean and dry with suction devices.

Massage Therapy

Arizona College offers comprehensive massage therapy training at its Glendale campus.

Massage therapists use touch to manipulate soft-tissue muscles of the body, providing beneficial treatments and relief from pain. One of their key responsibilities is identifying appropriate therapeutic treatments for their clients. Massage therapy practitioners can provide different types of bodywork, including deep-tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, and prenatal massage.

Health Sciences: Springboard your career in healthcare with an Associate of Applied Science in Health Sciences, Associate of Science in Health Sciences: Pre-Professional Studies, or a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.
Medical Laboratory Assistant: Collect and process patient specimens - urine, blood, cultures, etc. - to assist with diagnosis. The Medical Laboratory Assistant program can be completed in two semesters.
Nursing Assistant: Perform basic nursing duties and assist patients with their daily health care needs under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Patient Care Technician: Provide direct patient care (e.g. wound care, EKG and telemetry monitoring, and phlebotomy) alongside doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals in a variety of settings.
Phlebotomist Technician: Perform blood collection through venipuncture and capillary puncture.
Radiologic Technology: Specialize in x-ray and other diagnostic imaging examinations on patients.
