Arizona State University (ASU) Preparatory Academy, commonly referred to as ASU Prep, is a network of charter schools that aims to provide a college preparatory education. History and Expansion

ASU Prep's journey began in 2008 with the opening of its first campus in Mesa, Arizona, known as ASU Preparatory Academy Polytechnic (UPSI). A year later, in 2009, the school relocated to the ASU Polytechnic campus, solidifying its connection with Arizona State University.

In 2017, ASU Prep launched ASU Prep Digital, an online platform built upon the same college preparatory framework. ASU Prep Digital offers part-time or full-time high school courses to students worldwide. ASU Prep Digital now offers a full-time K-8 virtual school option.

ASU Prep has also expanded through mergers, such as the one with Phoenix Collegiate Academy in South Phoenix in 2018. In 2016, ASU Prep announced plans to open a Casa Grande school. ASU Prep Casa Grande partners with a top soccer club in a residential academy.

ASU Prep Digital distinguishes itself by integrating high school and university courses. It offers college-level classes to high school students. This innovative approach allows students to earn college credit while still in high school, providing them with a head start on their higher education journey.
