Initiate the internet Application between June 12 and January 10 and submit the following:

3. Physical Fitness Assessment

The assessment typically includes push-ups, sit-ups, and a timed run. For males, a good goal is 50 push-ups, 50 curl-ups, and a 6:30 mile. Ask any high school administrator to administer the test and fill out the scorecard. We recommend a coach or JROTC instructor. There are no passing or failing scores. Just do the best you can. Follow up with the administrator to ensure that they were able to successfully upload your scores.

4. The Interview

You are required to do an interview with one school. If you have a resume already prepared, bring it. If not, Mr. Killeen will get the information he needs through the interview process.

5. Medical Examination

Individuals selected for an interview will be contacted and scheduled for a medical examination by the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB). Your medical condition is not a consideration in the selection of winners; however, all winners must be medically qualified and enrolled to receive scholarship benefits.

6. Selection Boards

Cadet Command will hold selection boards in October, January and March. The Cadet Command selection board makes decisions based on the strength of your application compared to the applicant pool.

The Army ROTC scholarship benefit package covers full tuition and mandatory fees at all of our participating schools. All scholarship or contracted cadets are entitled to a stipend (subsistence allowance) authorized by law.

If you receive an Army ROTC scholarship, then you can commission and serve as an active duty (full-time) Army officer for four years after you graduate from UNG. Serving active duty, if selected, for 4 years followed by 4 years of service in the Inactive Ready Reserve(IRR)/National Guard/Army Reserves. Serve 8 years in the National Guard/Army Reserves,that includes a 3-6 month active duty term for initial training. The obligation is served as six years of active drill duty (one weekend per month and two weeks of annual training).
