Recognizing the pivotal role of education, Ascend offers a scholarship program designed to alleviate the financial burden of pursuing higher education. Over the past 20+ years, Ascend has demonstrated its commitment by awarding over $200,000 in scholarships to its members.
Ascend Scholarship: A Gateway to Academic Pursuits
Ascend Federal Credit Union awards scholarships to its members, underscoring its commitment to education. For the 2026-2027 academic year, Ascend will award ten scholarships of $2,500 each to Ascend members. These scholarships are divided into two categories: traditional and non-traditional students, with five scholarships allocated to each category.
Eligibility Requirements: Paving the Way for Aspiring Students
To be eligible for the Ascend Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program, applicants must meet specific criteria. These requirements ensure that the scholarships are awarded to deserving members who are committed to furthering their education.
The eligibility requirements are:
- Membership: Applicants must be a member of Ascend Federal Credit Union.
- Enrollment: Applicants must plan to enroll or prove enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school in pursuit of an associate, bachelor's, master's, or other advanced-degree program in the next academic year.
- Exclusion: Ascend Federal Credit Union employees, officials, and members of their immediate families and household members of each (whether related or not) are not eligible. Immediate family includes parent, spouse, children, grandchildren and stepchildren.

Navigating Financial Services with Ascend
Ascend Federal Credit Union provides referrals to financial professionals of LPL Financial LLC (“LPL”) pursuant to an agreement that allows LPL to pay Ascend for these referrals. This creates an incentive for Ascend to make these referrals, resulting in a conflict of interest. Ascend is not a current client of LPL for advisory services.
Securities and advisory services are offered through, LPL Financial, a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer (member FINRA/SIPC). Insurance products are offered through LPL or its licensed affiliates. Ascend Federal Credit Union and Ascend Retirement & Investment Services are not registered as a broker-dealer or investment advisor. Registered representatives of LPL offer products and services using Ascend Retirement & Investment Services, and may also be employees of Ascend Federal Credit Union.
