The following is a list of internships offered by the Baltimore Ravens. These are general descriptions of the internships that may be offered each year. Each internship varies by department and position requirements vary by internship.

Here's a breakdown of some key areas where internship opportunities may arise:

  • Marketing and Fan Connection: Interns in this segment assist in shaping promotional strategies, elevating fan interactions, and backing projects that strengthen the bond between the Ravens and their supporters. Responsibilities includes assists with event activation, promotional fulfillment, fan program management (i.e. Purple, The Flock, etc.) and creating and enhancing fan engagement opportunities. Supports the marketing department from tentpole events .
  • Digital Creative and Media Production: Ideal for those who love storytelling and visual expression, this department offers practical experience in social media management, videography, photography, design work, and content organization.
  • Community Impact and Outreach: With the organization’s strong commitment to service, interns in community outreach assist in planning charitable initiatives, partnering with local groups, and supporting programs centered on youth, education, and health. The Community Relations intern will be a self-starter and possess creativity, drive and passion for positively impacting the local community. This assertive individual will work in a fast-paced environment, display enthusiasm and aid in our contribution to a better Baltimore.
  • Communications and Media Relations: This area immerses interns in press coordination, release writing, interview scheduling, and media monitoring. Assists with day-to-day operations of department, including: daily news clips execution, press conference transcription, interview facilitation, social media monitoring, facility credential distribution, statistical research, press release writing and proofing, serving as media liaisons and providing support for all areas within the communications team.
  • Operational Support and Event Coordination: From stadium logistics to day-to-day administrative tasks, interns learn the operational backbone of a professional sports organization. The marketing seasonal event interns will assist with the gameday operations of Ravens marketing including (but not limited to) the set-up, management, and breakdown of Ravens Walk, customer service, and fan development. In addition to gameday operations, interns will also be required to work all Ravens events occurring during the season. Assists with daily marketing operations of Ravens Training Camp including, but not limited to, customer service and fan experience activations, sponsorship execution, hospitality management, community relations assistance, and overall event operation execution. Be prepared to work long hours outside during the summer months. Physical activity will be involved. Assists with the youth football program, RISE from team registration, youth and high school football events, donation fulfillment, Team Mom of the Year, Highschool Football Showdown, etc. Including support to the marketing department from RavensWalk to tentpole events.

Here are some examples of specific internships offered by the Baltimore Ravens, along with their typical requirements. Please note that these are general descriptions, and specific requirements may vary:

  • Broadcasting Intern: This role requires creativity and drive, utilizing existing production skills while learning new ones through hands-on experience.
    • Requirements: A BA in Video Production, Film, Television, or Electronic Media is typically required. Prior experience in broadcasting and/or digital content production is essential. Proficiency with non-linear editing systems (Adobe Premiere preferred), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite is also necessary. Prior camera experience is also expected.
  • Client Services Intern: This intern is responsible for assisting with all day-to-day activities within the client services department, servicing and executing the contractual details for corporate partners.
    • Requirements: The ideal candidate is a dynamic, outgoing, and self-motivated individual with experience in customer service and/or working with a sports team or agency. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are critical. A Bachelor's degree in sports management, business, or a related area is generally required.
  • Digital Media Intern:
    • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Web Development, Digital Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is typically required. The candidate should be highly collaborative and proficient in basic CMS platforms, HTML, Microsoft Office, and have a working knowledge of Photoshop. Other design and Internet-related skills (Illustrator, SEO, etc.) are a plus. A superior attention to detail and a passion for digital technology are essential. This role is not focused on social media, broadcasting, writing, or I.T.
  • Event Presentation Intern:
    • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in hospitality, sports management, or communications is preferred. An outgoing personality with public speaking experience is also desirable.
  • Marketing Intern: Assists with event activation, promotional fulfillment, fan program management (i.e. Purple, The Flock, etc.) and creating and enhancing fan engagement opportunities. Supports the marketing department from tentpole events.
    • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and experience in sport management via minor, clubs, involvement in campus activities or leisure.
  • Communications Intern: Assists with day-to-day operations of department, including: daily news clips execution, press conference transcription, interview facilitation, social media monitoring, facility credential distribution, statistical research, press release writing and proofing, serving as media liaisons and providing support for all areas within the communications team.
    • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism or related field. Prior experience in sports communications, including internships with PR, sports information or journalism.
  • Diversity Sports Occupational Advancement Rotation (SOAR) Intern: Committed to the inclusion and development of minorities to help grow the game of football, the Diversity Sports Occupational Advancement Rotation (SOAR) is a summer program created to give those from underrepresented backgrounds an opportunity to see, first-hand, the many careers that exist in sports. The summer rotation program interns will gain experience, skills and knowledge in one of these occupation tracks: Stadium Experience, Sales, Media, Communications, Facility Operations.
    • Requirements: Have to have at least finished first year at an accredited college or university in addition to the remaining internship requirements listed above. *All interns are required to have local housing (Baltimore, MD area) and have reliable transportation to and from M&T Bank Stadium and/or the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, MD. Duration/Hours: The program will begin in July and will run 4-6 weeks during the summer (exact dates depend on the intern's availability). During the program, interns will rotate once through 2-4 departments related to their chosen track. Interns would be expected to be at their rotation location between 30-40 hours each week.
  • Stadium Operations Intern:
    • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in management/stadium management or a related field is preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency is a must.
  • Sports Medicine Intern:
    • Requirements: Applicants must have completed at least their junior year at a 4-year degree-seeking university and maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA in sports medicine or physical therapy. Experience with athletes is essential.

In addition to the above requirements, some general requirements often apply:

  • Applicants must have graduated from a 4-year degree-seeking institution by the start of the internship or be currently enrolled as a senior.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Applicants must have completed at least their junior year at a 4-year degree-seeking university and maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA.

How to Apply

Most internship opportunities, along with detailed internship descriptions, are posted on a rolling basis on the employment page starting in January and running through April of each year. The Baltimore Ravens do not have an official summer internship program. Applications are only accepted when positions and/or internships are open. Please refer to the employment page to see which positions are open at this time. Interested candidates must follow the instructions outlined in the posting to apply. Applications received outside of the specified guidelines will not be considered. Unfortunately, the Baltimore Ravens are unable to keep resumes on file for future positions. Most internships are filled by May of each year. No phone calls please. Lastly, if a particular internship is not listed, such as but not limited to legal, finance, scouting or coaching, they do not have an official internship program for that area.
