Accessing HR and Benefits Information
Employees can access comprehensive information about Banner Health's HR policies and benefits, including the tuition reimbursement policy, through the MyHR|Workday portal. This portal allows employees to review the employee handbook, HR-related policies, and benefits information. Employees can also update their personal information, such as address, tax deductions, emergency contacts, and direct deposit details. Accessing MyHR|Workday from outside the Banner computer system requires two-factor authentication for security purposes. For remote access to the Banner Health network, employees can use a Virtual Private Network (VPN), which provides an encrypted secure connection between their off-site device and the Banner Health network. However, VPN access is restricted to employees who require it and use Banner Health devices.

Eligibility for Tuition Assistance
To be eligible for Banner Health's tuition assistance program, employees must meet specific criteria:

- Be and remain employed with Banner Health.
- Be eligible for and abide by all terms and conditions of Banner Health’s tuition assistance policy as determined by Banner Health.
- Maintain attendance with the University defined as not taking a break longer than 365 days.
These Participating Employees who are new students and self-identify as a Banner Health employee in the University’s student portal (or through any other method of verification the University may require) after the Agreement effective date will receive the benefits set forth below, so long as the Agreement is in effect and has not been terminated.
Tuition Benefits
Eligible employees participating in the tuition assistance program can receive the following benefits:
- Participating Employees may take up to eight (8) courses subject to course availability and University’s policy for a total tuition cap of \$5,000 per Calendar Year (defined as January 1st through December 31st).
- Participating Employees may take up to five (5) courses within any one Calendar Year, for a total tuition cap of \$5,000 per Calendar Year (defined as January 1st through December 31st).
- Participating Employees may take up to three (3) courses within any one Calendar Year, for a total tuition cap of \$5,000 per Calendar Year (defined as January 1st through December 31st).
It's important to note that these benefits apply to Participating Employees who are receiving the standard University tuition rate and cannot be combined with any Alumni or Associate Transfer tuition rates, competency-based programs such as the MBA-CB program or other competency-based programs the University may offer in its discretion, any other University offer or promotion or any other specific program exclusions set forth in the Academic Catalog.
Taking more courses than the maximum allotted amount for each tuition cap in a Calendar Year will result in additional tuition charges. Employees should consult Banner Health’s tuition assistance policy for further information regarding their billing options and payment details with respect to the Benefits.
Impact of Agreement Termination
If the agreement between Banner Health and the University is terminated, tuition benefits will immediately cease and will no longer be available to Participating Employees.

It is important to note that the Pension Plans are all frozen, and have been for many years. If an employee commenced their employment with Samaritan, Lutheran or Banner prior to 1992, Sun Health prior to 2008 they MAY have a pension.
