Baptist Student Ministry (BSM), formerly known as Baptist Student Union (BSU), is a Christian organization with a rich history of equipping college students to follow Christ and transform the world. In Nigeria, Miss Mary Frank Kirkpatrick pioneered student ministries in 1956, ministering to students at Ibadan Boys’ High School. The First “Baptist Student Night” was held in 1957. Baptist Student Fellowship (BSF) in Nigeria

In Nigeria, the Student Ministries Division has a responsibility to help churches develop an effective ministry to students through the Baptist Student Fellowship (BSF). The BSF is an organisation, a fellowship and a ministry. The logo of the BSF is a symbol which describes the purpose and goal of the ministry to students. The open Bible stands for the revealed Word of God. The silhouetted church illustrates the New Testament church. The colour of BSF is light leaf green, which stands for the physical, spiritual and intellectual growth of students.

The Student Ministries operate in thirteen zones across the country ministering to over 180 campuses.

Baylor University's BSM

After a two-decade hiatus, BSM is back on Baylor's campus. The organization welcomes faculty and staff to both serve and participate in BSM events and projects. Ramsey voiced a need for members of the Baylor community to help host on- and off-campus activities, join on mission trips, help develop film and media projects and help imagine new pathways for leveraging Baylor's role as a nationally ranked research university that boldly pursues its motto: Pro Ecclesia.

Religious groups and representatives shall not engage in actions which have an adverse impact on the academic/vocational pursuits or the emotional/physical well-being of students or in actions, which by force or coercion (physical or psychological) cause students to be absent from campus activities which are a regular aspect of a liberal arts education (e.g., study abroad).
