Navigating the MyBarton Portal: A Comprehensive Guide for Barton Community College Students

The MyBarton Portal serves as a central hub for Barton Community College students, providing access to essential academic and administrative resources. This guide offers a detailed overview of the portal's features and functionalities, empowering students to effectively manage their academic journey.

Accessing and Personalizing Your Account

Upon enrollment, students gain access to the MyBarton Portal. Regularly updating your personal information is crucial. It is important to note that the Office of Enrollment Services maintains the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of academic records for all Barton students. Students must make any permanent name change by contacting the Enrollment Services Office. Barton employees are asked to use names and pronouns consistent with students’ gender identities. Students are requested to inform instructors and other staff members about preferred names and pronouns. A student who seeks assistance or support in informing instructors about use of a preferred name, etc., should contact the Office of Enrollment Services.

Proxy Access

The portal allows students to grant "proxy access" to third parties, such as parents, guardians, spouses, or friends. This feature enables designated individuals to view specific student information online, including student account details, financial aid requirements, academic grades, and schedules. Proxy access is managed through the MyBarton Portal under the Popular Student Links card. By setting up proxy access, the student permits their proxy to view such information online if applicable. Please note, proxy access does not include access to the student’s official tuition statements, 1098-T tax forms, or the portal to enroll in payment plans or pay tuition. These features are available in the Student Financial Center and require separate log-in credentials.

The MyBarton Portal provides access to a range of academic resources designed to support student success.
