Accessing Billing Information

When currently enrolled students early register for an upcoming term, their billing information will be available online at the designated billing date for the term. For those students registering after the original term bill date, the billing information and due date will be determined by the date of registration. For all registered students, the official billing invoice for the term will be made available online in the E-Bill system by the 10th of each month and the due dates will always be on the last day of the month. Also, only those who the student designates as Authorized Users on the student account are able to view and pay the student bill. Payment in full is expected by the end of each month. For more information about payment policies, please contact the Student Accounts Office.

Understanding Financial Aid

Verify financial aid and/or loans are properly reflected on your student account. If accepted loans have not been applied and you are registered for less than full time (8 hours or less), then you will need to contact the Student Financial Aid office to request the loan(s) be reset for less than full time enrollment. If necessary, review the Online Student Financial Aid Checklist and contact the Student Financial Aid office at 254-710-2611 with any questions.

Baylor University disburses financial aid up to 10 days prior to the start of a term. In order to maintain your eligibility for the academic scholarship, you must meet the scholarship requirements of full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours and a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or above. Please note, if you will be graduating early as a result of taking classes in the summer, you may be able to apply one semester of your academic scholarship toward the cost of tuition for the summer term.

If you have been awarded an outside scholarship that does not appear on your bill, make sure you have reported the scholarship. In addition, you can check with the entity awarding the scholarship to ensure it was sent to Baylor, and designated for the term of the bill.

Refunds

All students should log in to bearweb.baylor.edu, navigate to "Student Financial Resources" and then click on "Student Refunds." From there, students will need to select the preferred method of receiving any refunds. Once classes have begun, a student will need to fill out an Add/Drop form from the Office of the Registrar. to ensure a seamless refund process for our students.

Registration Holds

Beginning on the first day of each term, guaranteed funds must be used for an immediate lift of registration holds. Payment in full by any payment type before the first day of class will automatically lift registration holds. Guaranteed funds include cashier's checks, money orders, certified forms of payment, and credit card payments. Please note: credit card payments are subject to a convenience fee.

Payments made by electronic check (ACH) or other standard payment methods are not considered guaranteed funds and will require a five business day waiting period before the registration hold can be lifted. This waiting period allows time for the payment to be fully processed and cleared. L-1 registration holds are not subject to the immediate lift after paying with guaranteed funds. A manual review will take place after payment has been made. Students are encouraged to plan accordingly, especially when making payments close to registration deadlines.

Outstanding Balances for Former Students

Students who have graduated, withdrawn, or are no longer enrolled at the University with an outstanding account balance will receive monthly statements for the duration of their last enrolled term. A notice will be sent in the first month of the following term, informing students of their account balance and the due date for payment to be made directly to Baylor. Notices are sent the first week of the month, with the due date on the last day of the month.

Students with remaining balances will be referred to our pre-collect department, EdRes, and will have 120 days to establish a payment arrangement or pay in full. During this period, no additional collection fees or credit reporting will occur. If students do not arrange payment within this timeframe, their accounts will be referred to one of our partnering collection agencies, where collection fees will apply, and credit reporting will begin.
