BLCU is particularly proud of its extensive and highly specialized pool of international Chinese language teachers, considered the strongest in the country. As a pioneer in training Chinese language teachers for teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages (TCSOL), the university annually dispatches a significant number of educators abroad to propagate Chinese language and culture. More than 50 current faculty members have been recognized through national, provincial, and ministerial "talent projects." Furthermore, the university hosts two national-level excellent teacher teams and three municipal-level excellent teacher teams.

Internationalization and Global Reach: A Bridge Between Cultures
Beijing Language and Culture University serves as a vital conduit for promoting Chinese and foreign language education and facilitating exchanges between people from China and around the world. Since August 2023, the university has hosted a distinguished array of international dignitaries, including the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Presidents of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Ecuador, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Foreign Minister of France, the Minister of the Privy Council of the Kingdom of Thailand, and ambassadors from over 20 countries, including Russia, Japan, and France. These high-profile visits have significantly enhanced the university’s international influence and supported China's Track Two diplomacy. In a landmark event in July 2024, President Xi Jinping and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the unveiling ceremony of the Kazakh campus of BLCU. This marked a significant milestone as it was the first Chinese university to establish a branch campus abroad. BLCU already has existing campuses in Thailand and Japan, in addition to the Kazakhstan Branch and the Princess Nora University Teaching Center.
The university has forged strategic partnerships with 527 universities and educational institutions across 81 countries and regions worldwide, fostering a comprehensive, diverse, and successful approach to international collaboration. Each year, BLCU welcomes over 9,000 international students from approximately 140 countries.
