Our dual enrollment courses provide students with the academic and technical skills to succeed-whether you know what course of study you would like to pursue or you’re undecided. If you are junior or senior and you have an unweighted 2.8 or higher GPA, you are eligible. High-school freshman and sophomore students who are identified as academically gifted in English, reading and math are eligible to apply. You have applied! Meet with your dual enrollment high school advisor to plan college classes. Attending an orientation session after meeting with your advisor is key to your success in the program.

College Transfer Pathway in Health Science

The College Transfer Pathway in Health Science leads to the Associate Degree in Nursing and is designed for high school students who want to start their studies in the health science field. This path offers high school students the opportunity to earn tuition-free course credits toward a job credential, certificate or diploma in one of our technical career pathways.

Additional Programs

We have two additional programs that high school students can take part in: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and High School Fire Academy. CNA is only available at Stokes County High Schools and HSFireAcademy is only available at Stokes County High Schools, WSPA and Carver. HS Aviation Pathway is only available at Mazie S. Colleges and other innovative schools that offer dual enrollment are often small public high schools that are located on or near the campus of a university or community college.
