Navigating the BHCLR Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide

Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) provides its students with a comprehensive online portal, known as the MYBHCLR Portal, designed to streamline access to essential academic and administrative information. This article serves as a guide to understanding and utilizing the portal's features, along with other important resources available to BHCLR students.

Accessing and Utilizing the MYBHCLR Portal

The MYBHCLR Portal is a central hub for students to manage various aspects of their academic journey. Through the portal, students can conveniently access:

  • Billing Information: View and manage tuition bills, payment history, and account balances.
  • Grades: Check academic performance by accessing grades for completed courses.
  • Current Courses: Stay informed about enrolled courses, schedules, and instructor details.
  • Course Materials: Access syllabi, assignments, and other resources provided by instructors.
  • Important Information: Receive announcements, updates, and other relevant communications from the college.

And if you ever have a test and forgot to charge your laptop, left it at home - no problem, Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the Colonel Glenn campus.

Emergency Notifications: Staying Informed and Safe

BHCLR prioritizes the safety and well-being of its students. To ensure timely communication during emergencies, the college utilizes an emergency text message notification system. This system, also referred to as Baptist Health mobile alerts, sends simultaneous messages to registered mobile phones, alerting students to critical information regarding safety issues, school closings, and weather alerts. Students are strongly encouraged to sign up for this service to stay informed and safe.

Payment Options and Procedures

Baptist Health College Little Rock offers multiple payment options to accommodate students' diverse financial situations.

Registration Fee

Once selected, students are required to pay a $100 registration fee. Payments should be made payable to Baptist Health Medical Center. To ensure proper crediting, students should write their social security number or student ID number on all payments. If the payment is made by check and the name on the check differs from the student's name, the student's name should be clearly written on the payment.

Payment Methods

  • Check or Money Order: Checks or money orders should be made payable to Baptist Health Medical Center. Checks must be for the exact total amount due and received by Student Accounts by the announced deadline. Two-party checks are not accepted. Your canceled check serves as your receipt.
  • Cash: Baptist Health College Little Rock welcomes cash payments.
  • Credit Card: Discover, American Express, MasterCard, and VISA credit cards are accepted. However, credit card payments must be made in person.

NelNet Tuition Management Plan

To help students manage their educational expenses, BHCLR offers the NelNet tuition management plan. NelNet is a low-cost option for budgeting tuition and fees, and it is not a loan program. There are no interest or finance charges, and no credit check is required. The only cost associated with NelNet is a $25 per semester non-refundable enrollment fee. Payment arrangements must be made before the due date indicated on the student statement.

Refund Policy

The refund schedule is based on the official date of withdrawal (voluntary or administrative) of a student. With the exception of the $100 registration fee, all tuition and fees payable to BHCLR are eligible for refund. Tuition, fees, and expenses collected by outside and/or partnering institutions and vendors are refunded according to their respective policies.

To initiate a withdrawal, a student must submit a Withdrawal Request Form. Upon withdrawal, any credit balance resulting from Baptist Health Foundation funds will be returned to the scholarship fund account.

Title IV funds (Federal PELL and Direct Loans) are earned in direct proportion to the length of time a student remains enrolled. If a student receiving Title IV funds discontinues study during the first sixty (60) percent of an academic semester, aid must be repaid by the student to BHCLR and/or the US Department of Education.

Military funds (Tuition Assistance) are also earned in direct proportion to the length of time a student remains enrolled. If a student receiving Tuition Assistance funds discontinues study during the first sixty (60) percent of an academic semester, unearned funds must be returned to the Military Department. Any remaining balance on the student account becomes the student's responsibility.

Computer Lab Usage

A user engaging in this prohibited activity will promptly be asked to leave the computer lab.
