A Variety of Opportunities

The FOX Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience while interning for one of the biggest media and entertainment companies in the world. Here's a look at some of the areas of placement:
Marketing: Interns gain hands-on experience working with brand, sports marketing, social media promotion, and event planning, assisting with event marketing initiatives such as the BTN Big 10K, Football Media Days, and B1G Tailgate.
Sponsorship: The Sponsorship intern assists the Big Ten Corporate Partnership department in managing select Big Ten partner activations, including pre-event planning, on-site event activation (i.e., Football Media Days), and recap reports. The Intern will also assist in selecting Summer 2026 Partner Events.
Studio Production: The Studio Production Intern assists in preparing for the upcoming season, as well as assisting with production of the B1G Today studio show. Duties include logging games, finding footage, and researching historical stories. The Intern will also be a part of the planning and production of football and volleyball media days.

Broadcast Engineering: Working with the Director of Broadcast Engineering, the Engineering Intern will help with the installation of new set electronics and performing maintenance on broadcast systems.
Digital: The Digital Intern works closely with the Digital Content, Digital Partnerships, Streaming, and Video Operations teams. During the internship, responsibilities may include supporting content strategy/social media distribution, video archives, customer relationship management, and digital research.
Remote Production: The Intern for the Remote Production department works with production staff to help prepare for live game broadcasts on the Big Ten Network and B1G+. This may include working on and preparing for coverage of fall sports such as football, helping prepare and execute Big Ten Volleyball media days, and organizing a variety of production elements and paperwork to get prepared for the upcoming season.
Original Production: The B1G Network Originals Intern is responsible for providing production support to the originals team on summer productions.
Business Operations: The Business Operations intern will assist in planning and coordinating company events, including the BTN B1G 10k and other company led events.

Creative Services - Design: The Design intern will work alongside the design team to learn how to develop various motion graphics, branded projects, support elements and beyond. This position will sit within a team of motion graphics designers across various experience levels.

Eligibility and Application
FOX offers internships each year within all of our brands, including various divisions and departments including News, Sports and Entertainment. Internship Start Date/Season: Spring and Summer Internship Duration: a school term/3-4 months. Hiring Cadence: Applications are submitted via Workday and reviewed by the leaders of the Student Program. Applications will open on February 12, 2026, for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. If chosen for an interview, students will be contacted to set up a zoom or in person meeting with a Marketing and Fan Experience staff member.

Penn State Athletics Internships: Penn State Athletics offers a variety of internships, including those within the Creative Services, Fan Experience, Photography, Strategic Communications, Creative Video, and Live Video Production departments. These internships provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in a collegiate athletic setting.
- Creative Services: Interns create high-quality graphics for the Penn State Athletics Creative Services department. Interns will be given projects each day they report to the office.
- Fan Experience: Interns assist the Marketing and Fan Experience Department’s full-time staff in planning and executing game production and promotions at all home athletic events.
- Photography: Interns shoot photos for our team on the sideline of Penn State Athletics events, where your work will be used across our platforms. Our photography internship incorporates both shooting, editing, and media managing assets for athletics events.
- Strategic Communications: Interns learn what athletic communication entails by completing in-office hours as well as game day event hours. Students will have the opportunity to work with several different sports in office as well as work games for a wide variety of sports that Penn State offers.
- Creative Video: Interns join our creative video team and be a part of sharing the stories of our 31 athletic programs through shooting and editing creative videos of events, practices, and other keystone athletic initiatives.
- Live Video Production: The Live Video Production Interns will assist the Penn State Athletics production department in camera and control room operations using the latest HD technology available in sports broadcasting during live sporting event productions. Live events are produced for in-house video boards at the Bryce Jordan Center, Rec Hall, and Pegula Ice Arena. Multi-camera live streams are also produced for BTN.com (B1G NETWORK+ or StudentU) and GoPSUsports.com, with many StudentU events re-airing on the Big Ten Network.
- Football Videoboard: The Football Videoboard internship allows students to assist the Penn State Athletics production crew in producing in-house video board shows for home Penn State football games. Live productions are produced out of the Bryce Jordan Center with cameras located at Beaver Stadium. Must be available to work ALL seven home football games.
