Admissions Information
Applying to Bryan College is designed to be a streamlined process.
- Application Process: Prospective students can complete the online application, which is free.
- Application Requirements: Applicants are typically required to submit official transcripts/GED scores or official ACT, SAT, or CLT scores. While unofficial copies of certain documents may be used during the admissions process, they are not substitutes for required official documents. Bryan College accepts CLT scores for acceptance; however, CLT scores may not be recognized for state grants or athletic certification. Bryan College may require additional application items on a case by case basis. Example cases include conditional admission, transcripts for closed institutions, etc.
- Application Timeline: Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, with students encouraged to apply as early as the spring of their junior year of high school.
- Transfer Students: Students are considered Transfer Students if they graduated from high school, have taken 24 credits or more of college-level courses from a nationally accredited school since graduation, and have maintained at least a 2.0 GPA. Transfer students must submit an application, have official transcripts sent from each college where they have been enrolled, and complete the remaining elements of their application: an application fee and essay/interview. In addition, they should add Bryan College to their FAFSA account.
- Financial Aid: Admissions counselors are available to help students navigate the many factors involved in transfer of credits, financial aid & transfer scholarships, availability of majors, and athletic offers.

- Orientation: New students participate in orientation to meet classmates, connect within their dorm, and learn about campus life.
- Residential Life: The college provides on-campus housing options for students. After paying the Enrollment Deposit, all new students are required to complete the Housing/Commuter Intent Form. New students will be assigned a room and a roommate once the Housing Reservation Fee has been paid and the Housing Questionnaire has been completed.
- Student Activities: Bryan College hosts a wide variety of performances yearly that showcase Bryan talent in theatre, chorale, and chamber singers. Performances often feature faculty and guest performers in addition to students.
- Events: The college hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including chapel services, guest speakers, and special events.
Important Information for New Students
- Required Forms: All incomplete documents are due before arrival on campus. Students can log in to MyBryan and click on the link that says “You have Incomplete Documents.”
- Housing: After paying the Enrollment Deposit, all new students are required to complete the Housing/Commuter Intent Form. New students will be assigned a room and a roommate once the Housing Reservation Fee has been paid and the Housing Questionnaire has been completed. Room assignments will be visible on MyBryan at least 10 days before arrival day for those who have paid the Housing Reservation Fee and completed the Housing Questionnaire before August 1.
- Immunization Records: Tennessee state law requires the college to have on file a copy of your immunization records, which must include 2 doses of MMR and 2 doses of varicella (or medically documented proof of chickenpox disease or immunity).
- Parking Permits: All enrolled students are charged a $150.00 parking fee for the year. You must still register your vehicle information in order to receive your parking permit.
- What to Bring: New students often request a list of items that they should bring to college. Here is a good list of basics: Home Items (Extra blanket, Clothes hangers, Laundry hamper, Laundry detergent, stain remover, Two towels, Shower caddy, shower shoes, Trash Can, Water filter, Shoe rack/organization, Lounge chair); Electronics/Appliances (TV, Mini Fridge, Computer/Laptop, Microwave, Power Strip, Desk lamp and/or bedside lamp, Coffee maker, HDMI cord); Bedding (Pillows, Sheets/comforter, Mattress pad).
