Cameron Reddish: From Duke Blue Devil to NBA Journeyman
Cameron Elijah Reddish, born on September 1, 1999, is an American professional basketball player. Coming out of high school, Reddish was rated as a five-star recruit and considered one of the top players in his class. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.
Early Life and High School Career
Reddish's basketball journey began at the Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania, where he spent his freshman year. He then transferred to Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, teaming up with Mohamed Bamba, a fellow five-star recruit from the Class of 2017 and current NBA player. As a junior, Reddish averaged 16.2 points per game, leading the Moose to a Friend's School League title.
During the summer of 2017, Reddish showcased his talents on the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) circuit, averaging 23.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists for Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He also played for the United States men's national under-19 basketball team that summer. He had initially aimed to join the under-17 team the previous summer but was sidelined due to injury. College Career at Duke
Reddish was a highly sought-after five-star recruit. On November 6, 2018, Reddish made his Duke debut, scoring 22 points in a 118-84 victory over Kentucky at the 2018 Champions Classic. He followed that performance with 25 points and 7 rebounds in a 94-72 win against Army on November 11, 2018. On November 19, 2018, Reddish contributed 16 points and 2 rebounds in a 90-64 victory over San Diego State.
Throughout the season, Reddish demonstrated his scoring ability, including a game-winning shot against Florida State on January 12, 2019, where he scored 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting. On February 5, 2019, he tallied 24 points and 4 rebounds in an 80-55 win over Boston College. He also scored 22 points in a 71-69 comeback victory against Louisville on February 12 and 19 points and 7 rebounds in an 87-57 victory against Miami on March 2.

Atlanta Hawks (2019-2022)
The Atlanta Hawks drafted Reddish. On October 24, 2019, Trae Young scored 38 points as the Hawks beat the Pistons 117-110. On December 22, 2021, Reddish had a career-best performance.

New York Knicks (2022)
On January 13, 2022, the Knicks acquired Cam Reddish. The Hawks acquired Kevin Knox II and a first-round pick in exchange for Cam Reddish, Solomon Hill, and a second-round pick. Despite a first cameo, on January 23, 2022, Cam Reddish was not likely to remain in the Knicks' rotation. On March 10, 2022, Reddish was out for the season with a shoulder injury. Tom Thibodeau was non-committal on Reddish being in the Knicks' rotation, stating that it would be earned.
