While Cameron Impact Scholarships are extremely lucrative merit scholarships, they are not technically full ride scholarships. Full ride scholarships cover all the expenses owed directly to the college, including tuition, fees, room, board, books, and other costs. The Cameron Impact Scholarship covers tuition, fees, and book costs, known as qualified educational expenses. However, it does not cover room and board, unlike full ride scholarships. The amount of the award varies based on the cost of tuition at the school the recipient chooses to attend. Students can attend any four-year university in the country, public or private, and the Bryan Cameron Scholarship covers their tuition. Full ride scholarships are incredibly rare; even without covering housing, the Cameron Impact Scholarship is extremely generous. To date, the Bryan Cameron Education Foundation continues to offer one of the highest paying and generous merit scholarships out there. It’s also somewhat unique in that it doesn’t require financial need to apply.

Eligibility Requirements: Who Can Apply?

The Cameron Impact Scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the GPA and citizenship requirements, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation or any other background factors. All students attending an accredited four-year college or university in the US are able to apply for the Cameron Impact Scholarship. Applicants must be US citizens and have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of a 3.7 or higher. Students must be high school seniors graduating in the current year, planning to attend school in the fall immediately following their graduation.

No Extensions: We do not offer any extensions.
Completeness is Crucial: Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed.

Once you submit your materials, you must wait. If you make it to the next stage of the process, you’ll have an interview with a member of the selection committee. These interviews are usually done at the applicant’s high school. Once you reach the interview stage, you have another opportunity to stand out by talking about your accomplishments face to face with a member of the selection committee. Important Dates and Deadlines

It’s vital to begin the application process as soon as possible to submit all materials ahead of the Cameron Impact Scholarship deadline. Although the posted deadline is in September, the Foundation highly recommends submitting your application by the Early Application deadline in May. This is because the committee only accepts a maximum of 3,000 total applications, and applications are considered on a rolling basis. Once they hit that 3,000 application limit, the submission window closes and no new applications may be submitted. For example, Last year’s early application deadline was May 21, 2025, and the 3,000 application cap was reached by the end of May. We accept a total of 3,000 completed and eligible applications, and will close the application when we reach 3,000, OR on May 1, 2026.

The Foundation notifies all Applicants of their status, regardless if they receive a Finalist Interview or not. We notify all Applicants by September 15th. Sometimes, correspondence may end up in SPAM.

Winners of the Cameron Impact scholarship are high achieving high school students that excel both inside and outside the classroom.
