The World of Nincada: Evolution, Habitat, and Abilities

Nincada, a dual-type Bug/Ground Pokémon, is known for its unique evolution method and intriguing biology. This article delves into the various aspects of Nincada, exploring its habitat, abilities, moveset, and evolutionary path.

Nincada's Habitat and Lifestyle

Nincada lives underground for many years in complete darkness. This Pokémon absorbs nutrients from the roots of trees. It makes its nest at the roots of a mighty tree. Nincada builds underground nests at the roots of trees. They can spend as long as 10 years underground, making their nests between the thick roots of large trees so they do not have to travel far to find food. Nincada will use their claws to dig out tunnels connecting their nests to other important areas: water sources, other trees, and exit tunnels to the surface should their nests flood from rain.

Because it lived almost entirely underground, it is nearly blind. It uses its antennae instead. As it is virtually blind, it uses its antennae to sense its surroundings. Diamond It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. Pearl It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. Platinum It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. Black It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. White It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. Black 2 It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. White 2 It grows underground, sensing its surroundings using antennae instead of its virtually blind eyes. X Because it lived almost entirely underground, it is nearly blind. Nincada need to molt their exoskeletons to continue growing. When molting, they will travel up their exit tunnels onto the trunks of the trees they are nesting in. They do this at night, after the sun has gone down.
