This unique 10-week program will focus on learning and skill development, and a hands-on project that will give you a chance to show off what you’ve learned alongside our full-time Business Analysts. Program Details

This is a full-time paid, immersive skill-building program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2026. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program. Upon successful completion of the internship program, participants may be eligible for other career opportunities at Capital One.

Program Focus

The AEIP focuses on learning the skills of a Business Analyst and becoming a thought-leader such as turning data into compelling insights, developing informed solutions to real problems, and communicating effectively. Participants complete a specialized business analytics project that includes framing a key business challenge and devising a strategic recommendation to leaders. They are active and engaged members of a team of analysts, leveraging powerful analytics software to understand how business decisions impact profitability. They also foster valuable relationships with senior leaders, managers, associates, interns, and other participants in the program (including 1-on-1 mentorship) and gain access to Capital One Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Business Resource Groups (BRGs), which provide resources for professional development, connections, cultural celebrations, and community engagement.

Basic Qualifications

The basic qualifications for the Capital One Business Analyst Summer Internship include:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2027 or earlier. For the AEIP Program, must be completing degree program by August 2029 or earlier.
  • Must be continuing in the same course of study of the most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship
  • Must be in Sophomore Undergraduate Standing for the 2025-2026 academic year (for AEIP program)
  • Must be available for a period of 10-weeks to be considered for this position.

  • Experience in analytical problem-solving.

If you know how to build models or write code, that’s awesome. If not, don’t worry as long as you have an interest in and aptitude for learning it.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll apply your strategic and analytical skills to impactful challenges that drive company growth-like launching new credit card and technology-driven products, crafting marketing and digital strategy, and analyzing the business impacts of credit approval and real-time fraud detection. Interns will get to work with a team of fellow business analysts, along with associates in other job families such as Data Scientists and Product Managers, working to execute on and accomplish the following:

  • Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products.
  • Develop direct-to-consumer marketing strategy and initiatives to support business growth objectives.
  • Help build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies.
  • Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
