Understanding Tuition Assistance
Many families who send their student to Carondelet High School make financial sacrifices. Through the generosity of benefactors and the success of annual fundraisers, Carondelet has been able to provide tuition assistance to many young women who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend Carondelet. Tuition assistance is awarded to families who demonstrate financial need.
Carondelet has partnered with FACTS to assist with information gathering and the assessment of tuition assistance. FACTS will provide an independent and reasonable assessment of the ability of each family to pay tuition. FACTS does not make any decisions about recipients and the amounts of financial aid awarded. Carondelet High School’s Tuition Assistance Committee reviews the FACTS recommendation. Based on the information provided, the Committee determines the amount of aid to be provided each family based on the amount of tuition assistance money available, the number of families who apply, and each family’s need. Each award is determined on a case-by-case basis.
In 2024-25, the school distributed approximately $1,8500,000 to 237 students, an average of $7,750 per family. Tuition assistance ranges from $1,000 to as much as half of the annual tuition.

Key Considerations for Tuition Assistance
- Demonstrated Financial Need: Tuition assistance is awarded to families who demonstrate financial need.
- Annual Application: Families must apply each year they require aid.
- Transfer Students: Transfer students should complete their aid applications as soon as they apply for admission.
- FACTS Assessment: Carondelet partners with FACTS for tuition assistance assessment.
- Committee Review: The Tuition Assistance Committee determines aid amounts based on available funds and family need.
- No Automatic Renewal: Tuition assistance is not automatically renewed each school year.
Multiple Students
The amount of tuition assistance provided is based on each family’s financial need. Carondelet & De La Salle both use the FACTS Student Aid Form. Only one form is needed per family. Be sure to include the school code for each school.
Tax Returns
Most families do not have their current year taxes completed by the due date. You can still apply for aid. You must submit your most recently filed federal 1040 tax return along with current W-2’s.
Appeals
Families who feel they still can not afford tuition after the receiving their award can contact Tiffany Brookman for the appeal process. Please use the additional comments at the end of the FACTS application to detail your financial need.
