Responsibilities: A Multifaceted Learning Experience
As a FanGate Solutions Intern at Charlotte Knights Baseball games, you'll have the opportunity to assist in various areas, gaining valuable experience in different aspects of event operations:
- Gate Attendant: Assist patrons with scanning tickets for entry, monitor scanning portals to ensure ticket validity, troubleshoot ticketing issues, and welcome patrons into the ballpark.
- Kids Zone Attendant: Ensure all participants sign waivers, distribute wristbands, and supervise activities for safety.
- Suite Attendant: Monitor suite level entrance to ensure all patrons have proper tickets for access and provide guest services for any questions or concerns.
- Guest Services Attendant: Aid patrons with ballpark questions and concerns at guest service booth locations.
- Other duties: As assigned by the manager.
This position is for all Charlotte Knights Baseball home games and special events during the 2026 season at Truist Field in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications and Requirements: Are You the Right Fit?
To be considered for the FanGate Solutions Internship, you should meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Willing to commute to Truist Field in Charlotte, NC, on game days.
- Ability to work untraditional hours, including weekends and evenings.
- College student majoring in sport management, hospitality management, or related fields is a plus.
- Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
- Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic.
- Must be neat and presentable at all times.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED.
Duration and Pay: Earning While You Learn
This is a paid game day events position for work during actual events at $12.00/hour. Staff parking, a meal, and a uniform will be provided each game day.
Comprehensive Summer Internship: A Deep Dive into Sports Field Management
For those specifically interested in the intricacies of sports field management, a comprehensive summer internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across multiple sports and sectors. This 12-week program is split evenly into three 4-week blocks, providing a rotation between Carolina Green, Charlotte Knights, and the Carolina Panthers & Charlotte FC.
A Rotational Learning Experience
- Carolina Green (4 weeks): Delve into field design, construction, sod production & installation, and irrigation design.
- Charlotte Knights (4 weeks): Focus on professional baseball field management and field preparation.
- Carolina Panthers & Charlotte FC (4 weeks): Experience NFL and MLS field layout & painting, agronomic & cultural practices on Bermudagrass, synthetic turf maintenance & paint removal, and stadium live events, including concerts and international soccer matches.
