Overview of Clayton's Internship Program
Clayton offers a summer internship program that provides real-world business-related projects with normal day-to-day operations. Some of the business areas that interns are exposed to include accounting, marketing, customer service, legal, finance, and engineering. Clayton understands the value of keeping good relationships with colleges and universities, and they pride themselves on the importance of recruiting the best of the best! Internships are the beginnings of one’s professional development; so working at a company with strong professional development is beneficial. Internship opportunities can be found in Laker Career Zone, through your network of peers, professors, or attending career fairs, for applying the knowledge gained in the classroom.
Social Media Internship: A Deep Dive
The Social Media Intern will provide a fresh outlook and bring creative opportunities into current strategies and content. Through brainstorms and hands-on training, they will provide insight into younger audiences and social trends.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes
By the end of the program, this intern will better understand:
- Content strategy and creation
- Social analytics and performance reporting
- Best practices for various social platforms
- Social engagement and reputation / crisis management
- Large-scale social media monitoring and scheduling tool(s)
Qualifications for the Role
Must be a junior or senior enrolled in a degree program in Digital Marketing & Social Media, Social Media Marketing, Digital Communications, or a related field. Strong presentation skills are required, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Some experience in digital marketing/social media marketing is required. Knowledge of social media analytics to track post and campaign performance is preferred. Excellent internet research skills are desired. Influencer campaign knowledge or experience is preferred.

Internship Program Details
Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions. Internship dates are May 18th - August 7th 2025. Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business. Interns will facilitate a presentation of their Summer project to Clayton Senior Leadership at the completion of their internship.
