Scholarship Requirements and Renewal

Most scholarships have specific requirements that students must meet to maintain eligibility and renew their awards. These requirements typically include maintaining a minimum GPA, completing a certain number of credit hours per semester, and fulfilling any additional obligations outlined in the scholarship agreement.

General Requirements

  • GPA: Many scholarships require students to maintain a minimum GPA to remain eligible. The specific GPA requirement varies depending on the scholarship.
  • Credit Hours: Students may be required to complete a certain number of credit hours per semester to maintain scholarship eligibility.
  • Duty Hours: Some scholarships, such as ambassador scholarships, may require students to perform specific duties or service hours.
  • Full-Time Enrollment: Many scholarships require students to be enrolled full-time to receive and renew the award.

Scholarship Warning and Appeals

Students who do not meet the scholarship requirements may be placed on institutional scholarship warning status. During this period, students may continue to receive scholarship funding, but they must meet all requirements by the end of the warning term to avoid suspension of the scholarship. Students may appeal the suspension of their scholarship by submitting a written appeal to the designated office.
