Denise McNair Memorial Scholarship

Instituted in memory of Denise McNair, a victim of the 1963 Birmingham church bombing, this scholarship is valued at full tuition for eight consecutive regular semesters (excluding summer). It is awarded to a first-year student with a faith-based background who is interested in social justice and advocacy. The McNair Scholarship is awarded every four years, with the next award cycle for students entering in the fall of 2024. Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) Scholarships

CVCC offers a variety of institutional scholarships, CVCC Foundation scholarships, and Senior Adult scholarships. Applications are placed online at www.cv.edu and may also be available on campus, depending on the type of scholarship. Leadership Scholarships: For students who have graduated from high school by the end of June and possess a 2.7 GPA or higher. As student leaders, students are required to complete service hours for CVCC.
Non-Traditional Scholarships: For new students who have not been previously enrolled for the current academic year. Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher from either high school or college are eligible to apply.
