CNUSD Student Connect Program: A Comprehensive Guide
The Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) offers a variety of programs and resources designed to connect students, parents, and the community. This article provides a detailed overview of the CNUSD Student Connect program, encompassing online registration, educational opportunities, district schools, and recent events.
Online Registration and ParentConnect
Online Registration opens every year during the Spring for current students. Parents are now required to update and sign all forms electronically through ParentConnect. This streamlined process ensures that student information is current and accessible. ParentConnect also provides access to a student's grades, attendance, and other important information. The app will also allow you to access your student's grades, attendance, and more.
Interdistrict Transfers
If a student is attending a CNUSD school on an Interdistrict transfer from outside CNUSD boundaries, the parent must obtain an Interdistrict transfer renewal form from their current district of residence. This form should be dropped off at the Student Services Department, located at 2820 Clark Avenue, Norco CA, to ensure the student can continue attending CNUSD for the following school year.
Educational Program Opportunities
CNUSD is committed to providing diverse educational opportunities for its students. Some key programs include:
Career Technical Education (CTE)
CTE courses and pathways allow students to develop hands-on experience and learn technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and become lifelong learners. Students have the opportunity to train in industry-specific pathways and even graduate high school with industry-standard certifications. This program aims to prepare students for the workforce by providing practical skills and industry recognition.

Dual-Language Immersion (DLI)
The Dual-Language Immersion (DLI) program provides students with the opportunity to learn a second language starting in kindergarten. Students can learn Spanish or Mandarin and become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural. This program enriches students' educational experience and prepares them for a globalized world.
STEM Academies
CNUSD has two STEM Academies, located at Corona High and Roosevelt High. These academies help students understand how the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics impact their world and prepare them for the workforce of tomorrow. STEM education combines these four individual fields of study to create an interdisciplinary way of thinking.
Gifted & Talented Education (GATE)
For students with exceptional abilities, Barton Elementary, Garretson Elementary, and Norco Elementary offer a GATE Magnet Program. This program provides enriched learning experiences tailored to the needs of gifted and talented students.
