Recruiting and Joining the Program

Initial Steps

Recruit Questionnaire Form: Complete the RECRUIT QUESTIONNAIRE FORM.
Out-of-Area Contact: If you do not live in Alameda County, complete Form C - Out of State - Student Contact Form.

Enrollment and Financial Aid

Online Application: Complete the application for admissions online.

Mandatory Orientation: Complete the mandatory online orientation.

Eligibility Requirements

The College of Alameda adheres to the California Community Colleges Athletic Code and the Bay Valley Conference (BVC) specifications. Athletes must familiarize themselves with these requirements to maintain eligibility. The Athletic Director's office has a copy of the CCC Athletic Code on file.

Incoming Freshmen: Athletes who have just graduated from high school and are entering their first Fall term at a post-secondary institution are immediately eligible to participate.
Transfer Students: If you attended a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution before enrolling at the College of Alameda, contact the Athletic Director.
Academic Requirements: Student-athletes must be enrolled in and passing at least 12 units with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0. A minimum of 9 of the 12 units must be academic courses. To complete studies in two years, students must average 15 transferable units per term.
Continuing Eligibility: After the first season of competition, athletes must pass a total of 24 units before the next season, maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
