Colorado Early Colleges ranks in the top 25 percent of all public schools in Colorado for academic performance. Colorado Early Colleges Windsor: An Overview
Colorado Early Colleges Windsor (CECW) is a public charter school located in Windsor, CO. The school welcomes all students in the Windsor area. The student population of Colorado Early Colleges Windsor is 175 and the school serves grades 6-12. Colorado Early Colleges Windsor offers a welcoming atmosphere that empowers students to learn, develop, and succeed. The school provides exceptional pathways towards college degrees and other industry credentials.
Academic Performance

- Robotics Program: CEC Fort Collins' robotics program competed with six teams at a 40‑team tournament hosted at Roosevelt High School in Johnstown.

Transition and Merger with CEC Fort Collins
Starting with the upcoming 2026-27 school year, the CEC Windsor campus location will close and merge with the CEC Fort Collins campus. The reason for this transition is to support the ongoing goal of offering the highest level of learning programs possible to students in the Northern Colorado area. The Governing Board voted to close the CEC Windsor campus at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year and merge it with the CEC Fort Collins Middle and High School campus, effective June 30, 2026.

Important Dates
CEC-Windsor stays open for the entire 2025-2026 school year. Classes, teachers, and activities continue as planned. The CEC Windsor campus location will close and merge with the CEC Fort Collins campus starting with the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

Transition Support
All Windsor students will have a guaranteed space at the CEC Fort Collins Middle or High School campus. Many staff members will continue within the CEC network, and most classmates will transition together to Fort Collins. The current Windsor stops will remain in place for the next school year. Additional stops are being determined in other Northern Colorado areas. Teachers, counselors, and Mrs. Feilmann are available to listen and help with any questions or concerns.
