CREATE® Competition: Design, Build, Inspire
The CREATE® Competition is a hands-on program that serves as a launchpad into the world of architecture, engineering, and construction. High school students participating in this 10-week program take on the role of real-world design professionals, responding to a Request for Proposal (RFP) and bringing their mock project to life with guidance from experienced industry mentors.
Students engage in a variety of activities, including:

Design Build Competition®: From the Ground Up
In the Design Build Competition®, high school teams face the challenge of designing and constructing a 96-square-foot structure from the ground up, mirroring the work of professionals in the field. Students have the opportunity to use real tools and professional equipment, exploring a wide range of career paths in the building industry under the guidance of experts.

Supervisory Training Program
CEF offers a comprehensive supervisory training program designed to improve the skills and knowledge of construction supervisors. The program covers various aspects of effective supervision, including:

Electrical Curriculum
CEF's comprehensive Electrical curriculum prepares learners for a career as skilled professionals in the electrical field. It places strong emphasis on safe work practices, while covering applied electrical theory and residential, commercial, and industrial electrical knowledge and skills. Coverage of the National Electrical Code ® is integrated throughout to ensure learners are prepared as competent journeyman electricians. This course consists of 80 hours per semester, including labs. Course topics include Electrical Theory, Multiwire Branch Circuits, overcurrent protection, GFCIs, GFPEs, AFCIs, SPD, Fundamentals NEC, Box Fill, Wire Resistance Voltage Drop, Introduction to the NEC, NEC Articles 90 through 340. This course consists of 80 hours per semester, including labs. This course consists of 80 semester hours including labs and is a continuation of the study of OSHA’s construction safety rules and focuses on the initial chapters of the NEC. This level is crucial for Journeyman Exam Preparation. Course topics are: Load Calculations (Feeders & Services), Health Care Facilities, Standby & Emergency Systems, Basic Electronic Theory, and Fire Alarm Systems. CEF recognizes that financial limitations can be a barrier to education and offers scholarships to students pursuing courses through CEF. Donations to the Scholarship Fund help make education accessible to deserving individuals. Scholarships may be set up as memorial funds with specific criteria determined by the donor.
General Fund
Donations to the General Fund support CEF's overall mission and various programs. These funds are used to cover operating expenses, develop new initiatives, and enhance existing programs.
Tool & Equipment Fund
The Tool & Equipment Fund supports the purchase of tools and equipment for CEF's training programs. Donations to this fund help ensure that students have access to the resources they need to succeed. Gifts of tools and equipment will only be accepted if CEF has a need for the item(s), as determined by the governing CEF Trade Council.
