Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS)
THE CROWN COLLEGE OF THE BIBLE is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, having been awarded Accredited Status as a Category IV institution. Crown College was awarded Reaffirmation by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on October 26, 2021. This accreditation signifies that Crown College meets the standards set by TRACS, a nationally recognized accrediting agency for Christian institutions.
State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)
The Crown College of the Bible is an institutional participant in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) initiative. SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. This participation allows Crown College to offer its online programs and courses to students in other SARA member states, expanding its reach and accessibility.

Crown College is registered as a private institution with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, sections 136A.61 to 136A.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution.

Crown College is also accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (at the undergraduate level) (One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 530, Washington, D.C. 20036-1120 phone: 202.887.6791). The nursing program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
The Higher Learning Commission
The College has been accredited by The Higher Learning Commission since 1980. Candidate status was granted in July of 1974. In addition, the College is chartered by the Minnesota Department of Education as a degree-granting institution.
Minnesota Department of Education
Crown College has also received continuing approval from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) of the Minnesota Department of Education. Its undergraduate Teacher Education programs leading to licensure for preprimary, elementary, and secondary teaching are approved by the Minnesota Board of Teaching.
Veteran's Education Benefits
Veterans attending Crown College are eligible to use their veterans’ education benefits. The college is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.

Undergraduate Programs
The college offers the Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree, with concentrations in pastoral ministry, youth ministry, missions, music ministry, Christian education, business, trades and technology, a Christian Life Certificate, and opportunities for individual study through online programs, the school of International Language Navigators, and the Crown Music Conservatory. The college also offers associate’s degrees granted at Crown College are designed to meet the requirements of colleges and universities to which students may wish to transfer for completion of baccalaureate degrees.
Every baccalaureate degree major contains the following primary components: the Christian studies core, the general studies core, and major specific coursework. The core curriculum consists of general education and Christian studies. The Crown College core curriculum is designed to develop informed Christian thinkers who integrate faith and learning, communicate effectively, think critically and engage in life-long learning.

The Crown Seminary offers the M.C.E., M.S.M., M.Min., M.B.S., and M.Div.
School of the Bible
The School of the Bible is a non-credit program designed to help believers increase and deepen their understanding of the Bible and prepare them for ministry in their local church. The Knoxville School of the Bible is an education program which helps believers to expand their understanding of the Bible and to be prepared for ministry in the local church. The school is designed for lay people and lay workers in the church. Enrollment is open to men and women who have a sincere desire to know more of God’s Word. No academic prerequisites are in effect. Students come from all types of backgrounds and professions.
The curriculum at Crown College is being studied and revised continuously. Therefore, this catalog may not always reflect the current features of every program.

Curriculum Design
The curriculum at Crown College is deeply rooted in biblical principles. The rationale for the educational plan at Crown College, as expressed through the curriculum, is biblically based. The will of God is known through a renewed mind. The study of God’s Word and the integration of that Word into all disciplines is the first step in the building of a renewed mind and consequently, an important step in confirming God’s direction for vocational choice and indeed, for all of life.
All course work at the College is designed to integrate biblical studies with experience in the social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and fine arts so as to provide a Christian view of God, man, and the universe.
General Education Curriculum
The faculty approved General Education Curriculum for Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Music Education and Associate of Science degrees includes courses in: Communications, Humanities, Social Science, Math/Science, and General Electives.
The faculty approved General Education Curriculum for Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Arts degrees includes courses in: Communications, Humanities, Social Science, Math/Science, Christian Studies, and P.E.
Christian Studies Core
All School of Arts and Sciences students graduating with a baccalaureate degree have the option to complete either a second major or minor in Christian Studies. To be eligible for a second major in Christian Studies, students must complete a minimum of 30 Bible, Theology and Christian Ministry credits. The minor consists of a minimum of 18 Bible, Theology and Christian Ministry credits. All students must complete BIB 434 - Romans at Crown College. Incoming students may choose to complete an assessment of Bible knowledge upon entrance to the College.

Academic Support
Each student enrolling at Crown is assigned an academic advisor. This faculty member assists the student in course selection and is available for conferences when the student needs advice. As required by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org, 312-263-0456), Crown College has developed an assessment plan for documenting student academic achievement.
Campus and Facilities
The main campus in Powell was formerly a Levi Strauss manufacturing plant that was extensively renovated for use as a college. Crown College is home to the Crown Christian Heritage Center. This center encompasses 30,000 sq. ft. Crown College is located west of the Minneapolis suburbs and consists of a large central building, seven residence halls, and six apartment buildings for students and for families. The College enjoys the quiet beauty of a suburban setting while providing easy access to the metropolitan Twin Cities.
Athletics
The Crown College is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II, and fields teams in men's basketball, men's soccer, and women's volleyball.
Christian Service Program
Students participate in required chapel services. The Christian Service program exists to provide opportunities for students to serve God and to minister to the needs of others with The Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church-at-large, and the world. Each student who earns a degree or certificate from Crown College must complete the Christian Service requirement to graduate.

Affiliation with The Christian and Missionary Alliance
Crown College is the Midwest regional college of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, an extensive missionary denomination with a national office in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The Alliance was organized in 1887 by Dr. A. B. Simpson, a former Presbyterian clergyman.
