Adhering to deadlines is crucial to ensure timely processing of financial aid. For the academic year, the deadlines for verification document submission are:
- Fall - February 26
- Spring - June 30

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is essential for continued eligibility for federal financial aid.
SAP Standards
All students must satisfy the following qualitative and quantitative academic standards in order to remain eligible for federal financial aid. These qualitative and quantitative standards refer to the following Title IV Federal Aid programs: Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Work-Study, and William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.
Students will be measured against the Title IV Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards at the end of each spring semester in order to determine eligibility for the upcoming year.
SAP Forms
Students that are NOT meeting SAP will have SAP forms posted on to your student forms account. If you are NOT making SAP and you do not see the SAP forms student forms account.
SAP Appeals
Students who fail to meet SAP standards may have the option to appeal. The Financial Aid Office is authorized to override a student's dependency status under certain conditions. All applicants submitting a special circumstance appeal must respond promptly to document requests from CCNY Financial Aid Counselors. Failure to provide the requested documentation will result in denial of the appeal.
