DirectConnect to UCF

DirectConnect guarantees admission to UCF for AA graduates and adds touch points that track students from their freshman year at DSC through their senior year at the university to ensure they stay on a path toward success. In addition to increased academic advising, touch points include having students complete a career-assessment plan, confirm early major declaration, and complete skills workshops related to academic planning, financial literacy, and other topics.

Partnerships with Other Universities

DSC has established partnerships with several universities to facilitate student transfer:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU): The Blue-Gold Connection program allows students to complete a majority of their general education requirements at Daytona State College.
Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU): DSC Criminal Justice students can pursue an advanced degree in Criminal Justice at B-CU and receive admissions, transfer credit, and scholarship support.
Florida A&M University (FAMU): The IGNITE Program guarantees a student general admission to FAMU after completing their Associate of Arts degree from DSC.
University of Florida (UF): Daytona State College and the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences offer a 2+2 articulation agreement so DSC students who complete certain requirements are guaranteed admission into UF’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
Stetson University: DSC’s Quanta-Honors College and Stetson University’s Honors Program have partnered to overcome academic and financial barriers to completing an honors bachelor’s degree from Stetson University.
New College of Florida (NCF): Daytona State College and New College of Florida have entered a partnership that will benefit DSC students who wish to transfer to Florida’s designated public honors college.

Online Learning

Daytona State College provides a flexible range of courses, available during the day, evening, online, on weekends, through independent study, and self-directed modular learning. To register for a fully online class without completing the OSS, students will be permitted to remain in that specific online course/section. However, if a student is dropped from a fully online course and wishes to be reinstated or enroll in another fully online section, they must complete an online Reinstatement Form for the course(s) in which you wish to be reinstated. Each course will require a new form submission. The form requires the course, section number, and instructor name, along with your name and student ID. It's important not to drop a course without talking to someone about your options.
