Judging Criteria

During the Judging Period, all eligible Contest Entries in the Dress Category and Tux Category, respectively, will be judged by a panel of expert judges (the “Judges”) based on the following criteria:

  • Workmanship (20%): Assessed on the quality, neatness, and attention to detail in creating the outfits and accessories.
  • Originality (20%): Judged on the uniqueness, inventiveness, creativity, and original thought of the outfits and accessories.
  • Use of Colors (20%): Evaluated on the combination, integration, and harmony of colors used in the outfits and accessories.

Reasons for Disqualification

Several reasons can lead to disqualification from the Duck Brand Duct Tape Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest. These include:

  • Age Restriction Violation: Providing a date of birth indicating that the entrant is not 14 years of age or older.
  • Competitor Brand Tape: The entry appears to contain a competitor’s brand tape.
  • Non-Original Creation: The entry appears not to be an original creation.

  • Non-Prom Attire: The entry is not prom attire comprised of Duck Tape®.
  • Restricted Location: The address provided is in a state or province with contest and/or sweepstakes restriction laws.
  • Ineligible Enrollment: Entrants must be enrolled in a high school or home school association at the high-school level during the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Missing Photo: Entrants must submit at least one photo showing themselves wearing their creation.
