Navigating Your Edmonds College Transcript and Diploma
Congratulations on completing your program at Edmonds College! This article provides a comprehensive guide to understanding your Edmonds College transcript and diploma, including how to request them, transfer credits, and navigate related processes.
Understanding Your Edmonds College Transcript
Your Edmonds College transcript is an official record of your academic history at the college. It includes courses you have taken, grades you have received, and any degrees or certificates you have earned.
Accessing Your Transcript
To access your Edmonds College transcript, you will need to use your ctcLink account. Here’s how:
- Log in to your ctcLink account.
- Click on the "Academic Records" tile.
- You should then be able to view your Edmonds College transcript.
Official vs. Unofficial Transcripts
It's important to understand the difference between official and unofficial transcripts. Only official transcripts will be accepted for evaluation and transfer credit. Official transcripts are sent directly from the originating school or institution to Edmonds College. Hard copies are considered sealed if they are unopened and come from their approved transcript vendor. Once submitted and unsealed, transcripts are considered void.
Requesting Official Transcripts
Edmonds College cannot request transcripts on a student's behalf. You must request them directly from the institutions you have attended. Official transcripts should be sent directly to Edmonds College.

What if I attended institutions outside the U.S.?
If you have attended colleges or universities outside of the United States (and its territories), you will need to get an official course-by-course report completed by an independent credentials evaluation service agency. The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) must approve the agency. Edmonds College does not endorse or recommend any specific evaluation agency, but agencies like World Education Services (WES) can be used. Edmonds College needs to receive both the evaluation request and listed transcript(s).
Military Transcripts
To have Military Transcripts requests sent to Edmonds College, visit the Joint Services Transcript Request page. You may also contact the college's Veterans Resource Center for additional support. Per RCW 28B.10.057, Edmonds College can award academic courses and credit for military training. Edmonds College may be brought in as an elective.
Transferring Credits to Edmonds College
If you have taken courses at other institutions, you may be able to transfer those credits to Edmonds College. As soon as you are able, submit official transcripts from every institution you have attended if you need the credits transferred.
Evaluation and Requirements
Evaluation and transfer credit can be a complex process. Transcripts may require re-evaluation to ensure all appropriate courses are transferred. To ensure a smooth transfer, we recommend connecting with the Academic Advising team and Enrollment Services for support.
Several factors influence transfer credit eligibility:

- Residency: A minimum number of credits (whichever is less) must be earned at Edmonds College. This is a requirement by the Washington State Board of Community & Technical Colleges.
- Grading: Edmonds College accepts up to 15.0 credits of Satisfactory or Pass grades towards a program. Specific program requirements may impact this exemption.
- Course Content: We are unable to bring in most science courses taken abroad as a laboratory; they will be treated like a general science course.

Explore your options with Alternative Assessment at Edmonds College. This process uses unofficial transcripts and is typically quick.
