Educational Pathways Academy (EPA) is a private Christian school located in Southwest Florida. It specializes in the academic, social, and emotional development of bright and talented students with language-based learning disabilities who struggle academically. These disabilities include dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, and auditory and visual processing disorders. EPA has two campus locations and serves students in grades 1-12. EPA’s founding campus, known as the South-Frey Campus, is located in Naples, Florida.

The Admissions Process: Finding the Right Fit
EPA's admissions process is designed to help both families and the school determine whether EPA is the right environment for a student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Students at EPA typically possess average to above-average intelligence, have struggled in school in various ways, and may or may not have a formal diagnosis. The hallmarks of a learning disability are often present in data. Their profiles may include diagnostic labels such as a receptive/expressive language disorder, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, executive dysfunction, auditory processing disorder, attention deficit disorder, or some combination of these.
Step 1: Complete Student Information Form
The first step is to complete a Student Information Form, sharing information about the student's strengths, personality traits, social abilities, academic areas of struggle, and previous diagnoses. Attach any diagnosis, evaluations, IEP, or 504 plan the child has received. Even if the student has not yet been formally diagnosed with a learning disability, the form should still be submitted.
Step 2: Schedule Campus Tour & Meet Head of School
After reviewing the Student Information Form, EPA’s Admissions Director will determine whether the educational program can effectively support the child’s needs. If so, a Campus Tour will be scheduled. This visit includes a guided campus tour followed by a meeting with the Founder & Head of School.

Step 4: Shadow Day
Once the admissions application has been submitted, a Shadow Day will be scheduled for the child. During their Shadow Day, the child will experience a day in the life of an EPA student, attending classes, meeting teachers, and enjoying recess and lunch on campus. Additionally, they will complete placement tests in math and reading.
Step 5: Admissions Review
Once all application materials are received and a successful Shadow Day has been completed, EPA’s Admissions Committee will review the application. The family will be notified of the child’s acceptance status. Selection for admissions is based on the child’s inherent capabilities and ability to benefit from the educational programs at Educational Pathways Academy, as well as space availability in the program. If there is no availability in the program, the student will be placed on a waitlist.

HVPA provides an innovative and new learning environment to engage students who struggle in the traditional learning environment. HVPA is an Early College High School program located at the SUNY Ulster campus located in Stone Ridge. The program is modeled as a college-prep program that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), combined with required credits in English Language Arts and Social Studies. Students choose a Network Administration/Computer Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, or Computer Science/Health Informatics program of study. Throughout the program, students work with industry partners to acquire the skills they need in the workplace. The Hudson Valley Pathways Academy program is designed to develop leadership, creativity, and self-direction. An intimate atmosphere supports every student. Partnerships with industry provide many opportunities for internships, mentoring, and other real-world connections that enhance students’ job prospects. Students wishing to attend the Hudson Valley Pathways Academy require component school district involvement in the enrollment process. The P-TECH model is comprised of a six-year pathway of study that leads to earning an associates degree and workforce readiness skills that puts graduates first in line for available positions with industry partners.
