Financial Aid Application Process

The admission and financial aid decisions are made independently but simultaneously. Families interested in applying for financial assistance should complete and submit the School & Student Services (SSS) Financial Aid Application immediately after completing the Ravenna application for admission. Household members can share their tax information directly from the IRS to SSS. Applications received after the deadline are considered on an individual basis. It is recommended to speak with an admissions staff member before beginning the application process. If a student does not receive financial aid in their initial year, they must wait two years before reapplying.

Eligibility and Considerations

EMS considers all families who have demonstrated financial need, defined as the difference between the cost to attend EMS and a family’s demonstrated ability to pay. In cases of divorced or separated parents, EMS holds both parents financially responsible for their child’s education, regardless of any divorce or support agreements. The Financial Assistance Committee considers the assets of both parents.

Tax Information

In most cases, current Income Tax Returns are not prepared by the application deadline. Therefore, applicants are asked to estimate their tax information on the TADS School Portal application and submit their Form 1040 by April 15.

Summer Explorations Program

The Elisabeth Morrow School offers a Summer Explorations program from June 22 to August 7. This program provides various activities and learning experiences for children during the summer months.

Program Details

The Summer Explorations program offers both full-day and half-day options.

Full-day: \$730/week
Half-day: \$495/week

Some classes may have additional materials or specialty fees. A non-refundable deposit of \$100 is due at the time of registration.

Refund Policy

While the program aims to be flexible with refunds and charges due to health-related reasons, after May 1, no refunds are offered for changes in plans, schedules, or vacations. However, if a child is unable to attend due to health issues, the program will try to accommodate them in a different session. If accommodation is not possible, a full refund will be issued with documentation from a medical provider.

Transportation and Meals

Summer Explorations partners with Rainbow Transportation to provide busing services to and from the school. The program provides daily peanut- and tree-nut-free snacks, including fresh fruit, cut-up vegetables, and other kid-friendly options. Children staying for the full day are required to bring their own lunch or order online through a food delivery service. The lunch menu is available online, offering a preview of nutritious options, at least two days before the delivery date. Credit card payments are processed at the time of order.
