Candidates for the Executive MBA Program should have at least 8 years of professional, full-time work experience. The EMBA Admissions committee looks holistically at each candidate’s application, relying heavily on work experience.

Your recommender will be asked to provide detailed insights into your professional profile and how your career has progressed during the time they have known you. They will be prompted to describe your most outstanding quality, leadership skills, and teamwork abilities.

Standardized Tests
All applicants are required to submit standardized test results by the application deadline to be considered for admission. Applicants must submit test results from the Graduate Management Admissions Test (older version or Focus Edition, both now referred to as GMAT), the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), or the Executive Assessment (EA) that are no more than five years old. We accept scores from tests taken at a test center or at home/online. All at-home tests are monitored by a human proctor online. Scores may be self-reported; when self-reporting your score(s) in the application please list your highest score first
Sponsorship
Sponsorship forms are to be provided by the person who has the authority to sign off on the time commitment involved with the program. Fellows applicants, applicants with less than eight (8) years of full time work experience by the program start date, are encouraged to seek financial sponsorship their company as this can be an indicator of the value the company ascribes to the employee despite their relatively limited tenure. A co-founder, partner, or head of the company’s Board of Directors may complete the sponsorship form on behalf of a self-employed candidate.

Some of the more competitive schools cater to out-of-town students who arrange to travel to the school on the weekend. You take classes at each of our global campuses during five international session weeks. All Executive MBA students spend three weeks in Chicago, one week in Hong Kong, and one week in London.
