Navigating the ENMU Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide
Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) offers a variety of resources to its students, both online and on-site. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the ENMU student portal and related resources, designed to help students navigate their academic journey successfully.
Admission and Enrollment
For prospective students, ENMU provides detailed information about the admission process, financial aid, and scholarships. The starting point for new members of the Greyhound family is room 107 of the Student Academic Services (SAS) building. This is where you will get to see some of the people who have been helping you along the way as you applied to admission at ENMU. If you are a new freshman, you'll head upstairs in SAS to room 214. Our advisors will help you create a customized class schedule for the fall semester.
Online Resources for Online Students
ENMU offers a range of online resources to support students taking online courses.
Golden Library
The Golden Library provides a full range of services to support your research needs in a manner as equivalent as possible to those of Portales campus students.
ENMU Campus Bookstore
The ENMU Campus Bookstore provides online access to a listing of textbooks required for all ENMU-Portales classes. If you are taking classes from our Roswell or Ruidoso branch campuses, you should purchase books at those bookstores.

Registration Process
As a new member of the Greyhound family you will learn about ENMU during the six steps of registration. Moving on to moving in. You'll also check the status of your roommate assignment or roommate request… a.k.a. This steps covers the green in Green and Silver. This is your last stop to becoming a Greyhound! Did we mention you get a free 2017 class t-shirt? Get ready for Dawg Days, a series of programs and events designed to help you prepare for college life, starting August 19. There will be a family community fair with a barbeque and pep rally, a student organization fair to meet with campus organizations and more.
Declaring Your Major
The major you listed on your application when you applied for admission to ENMU was an "area of interest which helped us know what kind of information you might need as you consider your college options. You still need to officially declare your major. If you have fewer than 30 hours of college credit, you'll be advised through the Advising Center. You'll have a personal advisor will help you with course selection and registration.
Emergency Alerts
Eastern New Mexico University has switched emergency alert providers from Rave to Everbridge. Everbridge is an opt-out system. ENMU Alert sends emergency alert messages such as school closings due to inclement weather.
Financial Aid
A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for students receiving an Admissions Academic Scholarship or to work on campus. You can file this form after Jan. 1 for the upcoming school year. Be sure to add Eastern's school code so ENMU will receive your application results faster.
