The student orientation program is designed to facilitate the transition to college and familiarize new students with the organization, staff, and operation of the University. Transportation costs will vary by campus location and mode of transportation. Annually on Constitution Day, all campus and online students are encouraged to register to vote. Voter registration forms are available at all campus locations 365 days a year through the Student Services Department.

Campus Facilities

For on-campus students, student lounges are available. Student lounges provide a relaxing atmosphere and include vending machines and a microwave for those who would like to bring their meals. Special courses, workshops and seminars may be held throughout the year for various interest groups including business and industry. Since Everglades University is primarily a commuter’s university, parking and traffic regulations must be maintained for the protection of all. Students must park in authorized spaces. Students must not park in areas designated for the handicapped (unless possessing the appropriate licensure), on sidewalks or in “no parking” areas. Violators are subject to having their vehicle towed without prior warning or formal notification. Students must obtain and affix a valid parking permit decal to all cars parked at Everglades University. Students may be taken on field trips by their instructors at appropriate times during the classroom training period. These trips are designed to supplement the curriculum and to introduce the student to situations which cannot be reproduced in the classroom. Students will be notified in advance of any trips. Everglades University believes that speakers from the business and professional world in which graduates will be entering can enhance students’ education. All students are encouraged to have adequate health insurance coverage. Information on student health insurance is available through the Student Services Department.
