Navigating the FNU Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide
The Frontier Nursing University (FNU) Student Portal serves as a central hub for students, providing access to essential academic resources, communication tools, and important information. This guide will walk you through accessing the portal, navigating its key features, and utilizing its resources effectively.
Accessing the FNU Student Portal
Gaining access to the FNU Student Portal is a straightforward process.
- Initial Access: Go to www.fnu.edu.
- Click the tab “Current Students”.
- Locate the Portal Link: Click the link “MY FNU” located at the top right hand corner.
- Navigate to Homepage: Click the first link “Student Portal Homepage”.
Creating a New Account
If you are a first-time user, you will need to create a new account.
- Initiate Account Creation: After clicking on the link, you will be taken to the Student Portal Homepage and then click on “Create a New Account “.
- Enter Required Information: Enter the information you are asked for. (Social Security Number or Student ID, Name, Last Name and the Security Questions).
- Username and Password: You will be shown your username and asked to input a password.
- Activation Link: After you submit the information, you will be sent an email with a link to activate your account. If you don’t click the link within 24 hours you WILL NOT have any access to your Student Portal.
- Final Step: Once you have clicked the link you will be taken to the student portal homepage.
- Security Questions: You will be required to answer security questions.

- Grades: You can view your class grades on your student portal. Please log in to the portal and on the left side of the page click the link that says Academics.

- Instructor Contact: You can always post a message to your instructor within the virtual classroom if you have a question.
Blackboard
Blackboard is the primary platform for online learning at FNU.
- Technical Requirements: The Blackboard platform welcomes most Operating Systems and Browsers, we recommend Google Chrome but please follow the table below for you preferred software.
Distance Learning
Distance learning at FNU offers flexibility, but also requires adherence to specific guidelines.
- Attendance Requirements: Student participants could be required to post materials electronically.
