Focus Learning Academy is a network of charter schools in Ohio dedicated to providing students who have faced challenges in traditional school settings with a supportive and effective alternative to complete their high school education. Categorized as “Drop-Out Recovery” schools by the State of Ohio, Focus Learning Academies offer a path for students who have struggled or had to withdraw from their education due to various life circumstances. With a proven track record spanning nearly two decades, Focus aims to help students earn their high school diplomas on their terms and schedules.
A Focus on Individualized Learning
Focus Learning Academies employ a unique approach that combines online curriculum with core content pull-out classes, allowing for personalized instruction. This model enables certified and highly qualified teachers to provide one-on-one interaction with students in both classroom and lab settings. Focus East and Focus West cater to students aged freshman to 22. Focus schools are state-funded charter schools.

Focus Learning Academy operates several campuses in the Columbus, Ohio area:
- Focus East & Focus West: Located at 4480 Refugee Rd., Columbus, OH 43232. Their boards meet the third Wednesday of each month at approximately noon (East) and 12:45pm (West) in the Second Floor Media Arts Lab.
- Focus North High School: Located at 4807 Evanswood Drive, Columbus, OH 43229. The board meets the third Thursday of each month at approximately 4:30pm in the second floor cafeteria.
