Setting Up a Tuition Management Account

Tuition Management accounts are set up during the enrollment process for the upcoming school year. When completing an enrollment contract, families will be prompted to establish their family account and guided through the necessary steps. Each family will have one Tuition Management account through which each student’s activity will be accessible separately.

Accessing Your Tuition Management Account

New families can access their Tuition Management account through the Resources page in OnCampus to view current tuition and fees. Returning Families will continue to login to their existing Tuition Management accounts in the same manner they have in the past.

Payment Methods and Fees

Tuition Management requires an automated payment method, either through ACH from a bank account or by credit card. All charges applied to the account will be applied to the chosen payment method on the due date. A convenience fee of 3.12% applies to all credit card and debit card transactions. Payments made directly from a bank account through ACH incur a lower fee of 1% + $0.30 per transaction, with a maximum of $2.50 per transaction.

Prepaying Tuition

Families who want to prepay their tuition in full to receive a discount must log in to their Tuition Management account no later than the date specified in their enrollment contract (14 days after submission of the enrollment contract). Discounts will be applied after the tuition is paid, creating a credit balance that can be applied to additional charges beginning in July. If tuition is not prepaid by the due date, the account will default to a one-installment bill in July, and no discount will be applied.

Payment Due Dates and Late Fees

Payments are due on or before the 22nd of the month. If a payment is not made by the due date, a late fee equal to 1.5% of the outstanding balance will be assessed. A fee of $30 will be applied to the account for any failed payment processed via auto-debit, phone, web, or failed check payments. Any missed automatic payments due to NSF will be reattempted only once after 10 days, and a second NSF charge will apply if the reattempt fails. Changes to banking information must be made at least three business days before the next scheduled debit.

Open Houses and Orientations

The Middle School offers an open house for students enrolled in grades 5-8 prior to the start of the school year. New students are able to meet their ambassadors and all students meet their teachers, receive their textbooks, and set up their lockers. Parents and students in fifth grade also have the opportunity to learn more about the Fifth Grade Academy during this time. The Upper School has two new student orientations before the start of school: one for ninth graders and one for all new tenth through twelfth grade students.

Ambassador Program

The Ambassador program is made up of current FCDS students who welcome new students into the community by connecting with students before the year begins, assisting with orientation events, and easing the transition to a new school.

Teacher Availability

Teachers will be in their classrooms for students to make up missed work, ask questions, and receive individual explanation, enrichment, or extra help.

College Counselors

Forsyth Country Day School has a team of College Counselors who support Upper School students from ninth grade through graduation, providing guidance, support, encouragement, and information necessary for making informed choices for future opportunities.

Fall and Spring Conferences

In both the Middle and Upper Schools, conferences are held twice a year in order for advisors to continue to build relationships with families. During the conferences, strengths and areas for improvement are discussed. They also talk about how students are involved in both the FCDS and the greater community. At the spring conference, time is set aside for discussing the next school year.

Homeroom Teachers/Advisors

Each student in the Middle and Upper School has a designated homeroom teacher or advisor who serves as the main point of contact for communication between home and school related to an individual student’s needs. Parents are encouraged to use this faculty member as the first line of contact with the school. Our homeroom teachers and advisors oversee the academic and non-academic progress of their assigned students.

Progress Reports

For Middle and Upper School, the school year is divided into two semesters and progress reports are sent home following each of these. Written comments accompany all progress reports at the mid-semester point.
