Grace Early Education Programs: Nurturing Growth and Development

Grace Early Education programs provide a Christ-centered environment for children, focusing on their holistic development from infancy through preschool years. These programs aim to lay a strong foundation for future academic and social success, preparing children for kindergarten and beyond. With a focus on Christian values, experienced teachers, and engaging curricula, Grace Early Education seeks to nurture each child's unique potential and foster a love of learning.

A Christ-Centered Approach

Grace Early Education distinguishes itself by integrating Christian values into every aspect of its programs. This approach extends from the playground to the classroom, where children are taught and cared for with Christ-centered love. The goal is to educate and grow children into who God made them to be, instilling values and social skills alongside academic principles.

Grace Early Education Center is a not-for-profit ministry of Grace Lutheran Church, and Grace Early Education offers Christ-centered education for children eight weeks to four years old in both Tyler and Lindale, Texas.

Comprehensive Curriculum

The curricula used in Grace Early Education programs are designed to be engaging, accessible, and seamlessly integrated.

  • Frog Street Press: This curriculum, used for infants through age four, incorporates themes, stories, poems, dancing, and music to make learning fun and effective.
  • Footsteps for Fours: Designed for children ages four to five, this curriculum from Bob Jones University Press weaves Christian values into each lesson, teaching values and social skills alongside primary academic principles through themes, songs, and activities.

The operating philosophy of Grace Early Education programs is based on years of experience in the early education field, incorporating both established educational standards and a biblical emphasis.

Key Features and Benefits

Individualized Attention

Grace Early Education emphasizes creating an environment where children receive individualized attention. With two teachers in every classroom, little learners benefit from an environment where they don’t have to compete for attention, where they will be known, loved, and seen. This allows teachers to cater to each child's specific needs and learning style, fostering confidence and a sense of belonging.

Preparation for Kindergarten

At the end of the early education program, your child will be confident and prepared for kindergarten. Grace's preschool graduates are well-rounded with a comprehensive academic and biblical foundation, and the social skills necessary to interact with peers and adults respectfully. They’re reading, writing, and have mastered basic math skills.

Programs Offered

Grace Early Learning Center supports families from all ethnically and spiritually diverse communities with both child care and kindergarten preparation. The programs are based on goals, objectives, and activities which provide a flexible, enriching environment to facilitate the physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Grace Early Education Center operates year-round, Monday through Friday, and provides flexible scheduling for families who need different hours of care. A range of programs cater to the specific needs and interests of each child, from Infant Programs to Pre-K Programs.

  • Infant Program: Understanding the importance of a consistent caregiver, the staff works with parents to provide an environment designed for each infant to feel loved and secure. They implement a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure that each infant receives the care and attention they require. In addition to spending time in a specialized outdoor infant courtyard, teachers talk, sing, and read stories with infants to help encourage language and motor skill development.
  • Toddler Program: Toddler rooms are equipped to help children develop new skills and build upon pre-existing ones. Teachers lead the classroom in a predictable and balanced daily routine in accordance with the developmentally-appropriate academic and biblical curriculum.
  • Preschool Program: The preschool program seeks to prepare children for their future academic experiences in an engaging and enriching environment. Teachers use a variety of activities, including group and one-on-one learning time, learning centers, and free play to support the academic and Bible curriculum. In addition to the everyday curriculum, preschool children enjoy various activities through the year that enhance the learning experience.
  • VPK Program: Florida was one of the first states in the country to offer free prekindergarten to all 4-year-olds. This means that children turning four by September 1st of the school year are eligible for the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program. Grace Early Education assists parents and guardians who need assistance with the paperwork and enrollment process.
  • Summer Camp: Grace Early Education programs offer fun summer camp experiences. Kids can spend the summer having fun, developing confidence and social skills through activities, and enjoying making new friends. Each session includes themed weeks, hands-on activities, and a special on-campus “field trip” event.

Enrollment Process

To ensure that Grace Early Education is the right fit for your family, the enrollment process begins with a tour - in-person or over the phone. This provides an opportunity to get to know the staff and learn more about the programs. Once you decide to enroll, you can put your name on the waiting list and pay the required fee.
