Dawn had the rare privilege of spending quality time with her Great-Grandmother, whose strength and kindness profoundly shaped Dawn's own values. Grace was a true matriarch - respected, cherished, and deeply involved in her San Angelo community.

Grace Learning Tree initially opened its doors on July 22, 2019, in a modest, six-classroom building, bolstered by the support of Dawn's childhood best friend's family. From the outset, the school flourished, even successfully navigating the unprecedented challenges posed by COVID-19.

With the support of an incredible team, they constructed the new Grace Learning Tree campus, a space meticulously designed to foster wonder, learning, and a strong sense of community.

Dawn's Background and Inspiration
Dawn spent most of her life growing up in west Fort Worth, graduating from Western Hills High School and completing her education at the University of Mississippi at Oxford. A fun fact: when Ole Miss is playing, you can hear the "Hotty Toddy" chant from her house. The rivalry gets particularly fun when Tech plays Ole Miss, given that her husband, Josh, is a Texas Tech alumni.
