HBCU Swingman Classic Tickets: Prices, Details, and More

The HBCU Swingman Classic is an All-Star experience organized by the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) Youth Development Foundation (YDF) for Division-I baseball student-athletes at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This event leads off the week of festivities surrounding the MLB All-Star Game. More than half of all Historically Black Colleges and Universities are located in Atlanta.

Event Details

The HBCU Swingman Classic will be held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Ga.

Selection Committee

A committee that includes YDF Ambassador and Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr., representatives from the MLB, the MLBPA, and scouts will select the players.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the event went on sale Tuesday. General admission tickets are priced at $25. Braves A-List Members and groups of 25 or more people can purchase discounted tickets for $20.

The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be held at Atlanta’s Truist Park on July 15. The starters for the game have already been announced.

All-Star Week Schedule

All-Star weekend gets underway the Wednesday before the big Tuesday game with Atlanta’s MLB All-Star Restaurant Week, which 40 local eateries will participate in with “special menu items…inspired by the ballpark.”

From Saturday, July 12 through Tuesday, July 15, fans will be treated to the MLB All-Star Futures Game (July 12), All-Star Celebrity Softball Game (July 12 and featuring Big Boi and CC Sabathia among others), MLB Draft (July 13), Home Run Derby (July 14) and MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show before the first pitch (July 15).
