Comprehensive Guide to Health Services at UCF
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is dedicated to supporting the well-being of its students through a variety of health services. UCF provides access to quality, affordable, and confidential healthcare, ensuring students have the resources they need to maintain their health and academic success. This article provides an overview of the health services available to UCF students, including primary care, specialty services, and resources across various campuses.
Primary Care Services
UCF Health Student Health Services (SHS) offers a wide array of primary care services to address the general health needs of students. Primary care physicians serve as the trusted doctor for students and their families. Students' primary care consultation and evaluation by health providers are covered by the Health Fee, included in their tuition. These services are designed to manage existing health conditions and provide regular check-ups, exams, screenings, diagnoses, and treatments.
Main Campus Health Center
The Health Center is located on the Main Campus and provides comprehensive primary care services. Students can make appointments by calling 407-823-2701 or by visiting the Health Center to schedule with an appointments clerk. Walk-in students will be assessed by a Nurse Facilitator to determine their need to be seen.
For first-time visitors, it is recommended to complete the Health History form located online in the Patient Portal prior to the appointment. Additionally, students with medical insurance should ensure their insurance information is filed with the clinic before their appointment. This can be done by completing the Medical Insurance Registration Form, allowing the clinic to verify the insurance and add the information to the Electronic Health Record.
Rosen College Clinic
The Rosen College Clinic (RCC) is located in the Student Housing Building 905, Room 112, accessible through the Housing Community Office. The UCF Health Fee covers free doctor visits for Rosen students; however, additional charges may apply to tests, prescriptions, and other procedures. The clinic focuses on treating adults (ages 18+). All Rosen College of Hospitality Management students are encouraged to pre-register with the Rosen College Clinic (RCC). If necessary, students may be referred to the Rosen Medical Center located at 7656 International Drive, about three miles from the UCF Rosen College campus. A car service to the Medical Center will be made available at no cost to students.

Surgical Services

Appointments and Scheduling
Appointments are highly recommended to minimize wait times. Students can make appointments by calling 407-823-2701 or visiting the Health Center. Walk-in students will be assessed by a Nurse Facilitator to determine their need to be seen.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel an appointment, please call the appointment line 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. Because of the high demand for services, canceling in advance will enable the appointment time to be filled with another person who needs medical care. There is a fee for appointments missed without 24 advance notice. Fees may vary from $10 to $30 based on the type of appointment.
Parking Information
The closest parking garages to the Health Center are the Libra Garage and Garage B, which have ample parking (long-term or daily permit required). SHS has a select number of dedicated spots for patients in lot B9. However, parking in these spots will require an additional appointment parking permit to be added to their current permit.
If you park in one of these designated spots, provide your license plate number to the staff at the front desk during check-in. Both the appointment permit AND a daily or long-term UCF parking permit (purchased digitally through UCF Parking Services or through the UCF Mobile App) are required to legally park in these designated spots. Vehicles parked in these spaces without the additional appointment parking permit, or who remain beyond the allocated timeslot are subject to citations or towing.

The BS in Health Services Administration program at UCF prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure that healthcare facilities and health systems run smoothly so that patients receive the highest quality of care.
