The Ditto Upscale Resale store provides financial support to Holland Christian and Zeeland Christian families. The store’s net proceeds are granted to families to reduce the cost of tuition. This grant is available to every Holland Christian student regardless of financial need. Families need to opt into this grant using the Grant Confirmation Form.

Holland Christian Education Foundation Grant

The Holland Christian Education Foundation is a fund established to reduce the cost of tuition for all families and to provide financial stability for the school. Each year a percentage of the earnings of the Foundation are gifted back to HC families in the form of a Foundation Grant. This grant is available to every Holland Christian student regardless of financial need. Families need to opt into this grant using the Grant Confirmation Form.

Go Ahead Grant

The Go Ahead Grant is available to full-time Y5-12th grade students, regardless of financial need. Y5-5th graders receive a $1,000 grant for the first child enrolled, 6-12th graders receive $300. Grants for additional children are prorated based on the multiple child discount tuition schedule. The Go Ahead Grant is made available annually and is available to every Holland Christian student regardless of financial need. Families need to opt into this grant using the Grant Confirmation Form.

Minority Student Scholarships

Scholarships are available to racial or ethnic minority parents who are enrolling their children at Holland Christian Schools. These scholarships are based on financial need and are available through an endowment established by donors specifically to encourage ethnic and racial diversity at the school.

Opt-In Grant Confirmation

Until the 24-25 school year, the Ditto and Foundation Grants were automatically factored into the cost of published tuition rates. However, with the 2022-23 addition of the opt-in Go Ahead Grant, the different opt-in/out approaches created some confusion. The availability of the grants is not changing, but the grants will be applied to your tuition statement only if you choose to accept them annually by filling out the Grant Confirmation Form. Donated grants may be tax deductible and can be issued a receipt if formally opted out of by filling out the same Grant Confirmation Form.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Families need to opt into this grant using the Grant Confirmation Form. Please complete the form by May 19, 2025 in order for these funds to be accurately reflected on your first tuition statement for the 25-26 academic year.

Additional Financial Considerations

Families who are financially blessed and do not need the Ditto and Foundation Grants are encouraged to consider donating these (all or a portion) to the Tuition Grant Fund to assist other HC families.

ACT/SAT Dates: Upcoming ACT test dates are October 18 & December 13, 2025. Upcoming SAT test dates are September 13, October 4, November 8 & December 6. HCHS is a testing site for these dates.
Test Preparation: There are free resources for SAT test preparation.
PSAT: The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered during the school day on Friday, October 17, 2025 starting at 7:45 am for those who have signed up. Juniors who wish to take the PSAT/NMSQT need to register and pay the $25 fee by Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Registration and payment for this is done on Total Registration. All freshmen and sophomores will take the PSAT and Juniors will take the SAT during the school day on March 18, 2026.

Dress Code

In keeping with the mission of Holland Christian Schools, the Holland Christian School community recognizes the important impact of student dress on the learning environment. They understand that all of our lives, including our dress, bring honor or dishonor to our God. They also embrace our identity as a Christian school and how we dress impacts our witness for Christ to the world. No hats, hoods, earbuds, AirPods, or sunglasses are allowed during school hours. The administration reserves the right to determine what constitutes appropriate dress. Students who do not adhere to these guidelines will not be allowed to attend class.

Safety and Security

All of the Holland Christian School campuses have an intercom/buzz-in system. The doors to the main high school entrance (Entrance A) are locked and you will need to press the intercom button located to the right of the doors to speak to one of the office personnel who will let you in. Parents may drop off items for their students in the office, and visitors who are going to be in the building must sign in the visitor log and wear a guest badge.

Medical Information

If your student has any medical situation that the school office should be aware of or has any medication that needs to be kept in the office, the appropriate forms need to be filled out each school year and kept on file in the office. Please make sure all information is current so that we can help keep your child safe and keep the necessary medications here.

Parent Night

The school hosts an annual Parent Night, providing an opportunity for parents to meet the staff and learn more about the school's mission. The annual Parent Night on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 6:30pm at the high school. This will be an opportunity for you to meet the HCHS staff and learn more about how we will live into our district mission of “Equipping Minds and Nurturing Hearts to Transform the World for Jesus Christ.” Parents will begin in the auditorium and follow their student’s “Friday Schedule” for the remainder of the evening.
